Welcome.
Let's begin by finding a quiet,
Comfortable space to sit or lie down.
Allow your body to settle into stillness.
Let your hands rest softly and your face relax.
If you feel comfortable,
Close your eyes or lower your gaze.
Take a few deep breaths,
Inhaling slowly,
And exhaling completely.
Again,
A deep breath in and release.
Now allow the breath to return to its natural rhythm.
Let the rhythm of breathing be a doorway to reflection.
We've arrived at the midpoint of winter,
A time to pause,
To look inward,
To notice,
Not with judgment but with honesty,
How we've changed.
Begin by bringing to mind the start of this season.
What were you feeling?
What were you hoping for?
What were you carrying?
Now gently scan back over the past several weeks.
What moments stand out?
What challenges did you face with courage or compassion?
What did you learn about your needs,
Your patterns,
Your strength?
You might silently say to yourself,
I see where I've grown.
I honor what I've learned.
My efforts have mattered.
Feel that acknowledgment land in your body.
Breathe it in.
Let it settle.
Growth doesn't always look dramatic.
Sometimes it's quiet,
Deep,
And slow.
Now bring to mind one small area where you'd like to continue growing.
Not a pressure or demand,
Just a quiet invitation.
Hold it gently,
With kindness.
As you breathe,
Let this moment be a marker,
A pause to honor your becoming.
Let go of any need to figure it all out.
Just rest now in appreciation for the path you've walked so far.
Breathe and be.
Begin to return your attention to your body and your breath.
Notice the contact you're making with the ground or chair.
Feel the air on your skin.
Hear the sounds around you.
Take one final deep breath in,
And release it gently.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes or lift your gaze.
Take a moment before moving on,
And perhaps jot down what came up for you.
Thank you so much for your practice.
