Let's begin our meditation.
Take a comfortable seat,
Supporting your hips and spine just as you need to.
Listen to lie down on your back if that is more suitable for this moment.
Observe your natural breath.
Allow your breath to become effortless.
You are able to simply watch your breath as it flows through both nostrils.
Notice any imbalances between your right and left.
Open up the possibility for there to be balance between the two.
Shifting your awareness temporarily to the weaker or more closed off nostril.
Concentrate your breath on just this one side for a few moments.
Let your breath flow effortlessly once more through both sides.
Noticing any changes or shifts in your breath.
Send your awareness to your brain.
Visualize a still lake inside your skull resting between your ears,
Eyes and back of your skull.
When a thought arises,
See it as a ripple and keep returning to the perfect stillness.
Shift your awareness to the back of your head.
About the same height as your eyebrows noticing the back of your skull.
At this place visualize a full moon resting and rising through the back of your skull over the lake of your mind.
Allow yourself to become entrenched in the glowing blue moonlight cascading down onto the lake of your mind.
Drop into its coolness,
Its softness.
Allowing yourself to be fully enveloped by the ease of the full moonlight.
Softening and surrendering into the presence of the moon.
When you soften and let go,
Surrendering into even more effortlessness.
Floating consciousness.
The stillness of the lake of your mind being bathed in the cool,
Calming full moonlight.
Allowing all activity to come to a stillness.
Melting into the realm beyond thought.
Dissolving into this state of absoluteness.
Falling into the source of our being.
And bring attention back to your breath,
The source of your being,
Your prana.
In your mind,
Trace the trail of breath,
Inhaling through the left nostril.
Crossing over at the third eye and exhaling out the right.
Moving your awareness,
Inhale through the right.
Exhale out the left.
Exhaling through both sides.
Slowly allow your eyes to open.
Move your gaze like honey across the room.
Reestablishing your current container of walls,
Ceiling,
Floor.
Knowing that as we leave this time together,
You can carry whatever it is you're feeling with you.
Remembering it's only a few breaths away.
