Hello,

I'm coming to you on the week that it feels like everything's changing.

We are on the election day in the US and over here in the UK we are on the cusp of going into another lockdown.

It feels like there's a lot of change at the moment and it feels like there's not much we can do to help ourselves,

To find out inner peace,

To centre ourselves against the storm.

It's really difficult to find your feet when it feels as though the world around you is blowing in all different directions.

But what we are going to do here today,

Just for a few minutes,

Is allow you to channel into your peace,

To find your quiet,

To find your centre and to find your inner light even when you feel ears dimmed.

So what I would like you to do is go to a quiet location,

I want you to sit down with your feet on the floor or lie down with a pillow behind your head or your whole body connecting to the bed or the floor.

I want you to take this second and close your eyes,

You don't need to change your breath at the moment,

Just notice it going in through your nose and out,

In through your nose and out.

See if you can notice a very slight temperature change in the air,

Inhaling and exhaling.

Feel your body relax,

You have nothing to do right now,

You have nowhere to be,

All you need to do is allow yourself these couple of minutes.

That's the least you can do,

For everything can change in the world,

But it's how we react to it.

Of course you can fight change as much as you can,

But you'll just end up exhausted.

We stand,

We breathe and we allow it to wash over us like a wave,

There's nothing we could do to stop it,

But we know that fighting will not bring us peace.

So we close our eyes,

We feel the breath going in through our nose and exhaling.

There is so much going on right now,

But just for this moment,

All you need to be is right here,

In the safety of your home,

In the safety of your body,

With the solace of your breath.

Breathe in through your nose and exhale.

Feel your body,

It is not entirely still,

Instead your heart is pumping,

Your lungs are contracting and the blood is reaching your fingers and your toes.

Your mind might still be thinking,

Your face might be gently relaxing.

Even in stillness there are vibrations,

Allow these vibrations,

They're a sign of life,

They're a sign of your life and they're a sign of the quiet.

We cannot fight change,

We cannot stop it.

What will be,

Will be in certain aspects,

But what we do have is our breath.

The safety of our home and the quiet solace of our bodies.

You have a light within you.

Remember that it shines even when it feels dark.

From my light to yours.

Have a good night.
