This morning meditation encourages a deeper connection to Mother Earth, and brings us into alignment with her deep wisdom, abundance and beauty. In our fast-paced society, it’s easy to become disconnected from the natural world, so by taking this time to ground and connect, you offer yourself the opportunity to set a grounded and supported tone for your day.

Good morning and welcome to your day.

Our meditation this morning deepens our connection to Mother Earth and brings us into alignment with her deep wisdom and power.

It's easy to become disconnected from the natural world so by taking this time this morning you are offering yourself the opportunity to set a grounded and supported tone for your day ahead.

So just find your way into a comfortable position for your meditation.

You can sit or you can lie down whichever you find most comfortable.

Once you've found your way there just make sure you have that sensation of your sits bones connected to the earth.

So maybe you just move the fleshy part of the bum to one side and you really come into connection with the earth beneath you.

And just notice yourself settle,

Feel yourself ground into that connection with the earth.

Solid,

Stable and grounded.

Take an inhale and just imagine drawing up that grounded powerful energy from the earth into the body.

Each exhale feel that powerful energy radiate through the lower body.

Every inhale drawing that earth energy up into the body.

Each exhale feeling that energy radiate through the lower body.

Continue to breathe in connection with the earth.

Feeling her power,

Her stable grounded energy.

As you continue to breathe in that way just bring your awareness to the very base of the spine.

Feel that radiance of energy at the base of the spine.

Mother Earth's warm support,

Powerful energy at the base of your spine.

Maybe bring to mind the image of a warm coppery red light at the base of the spine.

Like the first glimmer of light of the Sun at sunrise.

Feel that warm red glow.

As you inhale draw that energy from the earth and then as you exhale feel that warm red light fill the bowl of the pelvis.

Breathe with that glow.

Inhale drawing that light in.

Exhale feel that warm light radiate through the lower body.

Continue to breathe.

Feel that glow,

That warmth,

That powerful supported energy of the earth radiating through the lower body.

As you continue to breathe feel that red light become brighter.

Like the sunrise the light becomes a vibrant orange as it fills the bowl of the pelvis and the lower abdomen.

The radiance of this bright vibrant orange light spreads through the lower abdomen on each exhale.

Continue that breath and feel the light become brighter.

It becomes a warm bright yellow light as though the Sun has risen in the sky.

As you inhale draw that light up to the solar plexus,

The center of the ribcage.

As you exhale this warm yellow glow radiates outwards from the center of the ribs filling the whole lower abdomen and radiating upward through the torso and the space of the heart.

Feel the space of the heart filling with warm vibrant nourishing light.

Take a moment to acknowledge the source of this glow,

Mother Earth.

Feel the source of this energy once again at the base of the spine.

That feeling of stability,

Of strength,

Of groundedness traveling up the spine through the pelvis,

The abdomen,

The solar plexus filling around the space of the heart.

Each exhale sends this warm powerful light through the whole of the body across the shoulders,

Down the arms,

To the hands and the tips of the fingers.

The light continues to grow as it travels through the heart space,

The throat,

Illuminating the face,

The head,

The space between the eyebrows.

With each breath the light expands and fills the whole of the body until the light illuminates the whole body,

Glowing with a radiant warm light from the source of Mother Earth.

Feel the light resonate beyond the boundary of the body,

Becomes bright blue as it surpasses the physical limit of the skin.

It blends with the blue sky above you.

Feel yourself breathe,

Radiate and glow in harmony with the space around you.

Breathing in harmony with Mother Earth,

A deep sense of connection.

On your next inhale just open up your palms,

Draw the arms towards the sky,

Connect to the palms as though capturing a little ray of that light that you have sent out and radiated into the space around you.

Feel that light within the palms of the hands and draw the palms down towards the space of the heart,

Anjali mudra,

Drawing light back into the heart space and holding it deep within.

Open up the palms,

Gesture of offering your light out into the world and receiving the light of others.

Take a full breath in,

Sigh out,

Release the breath,

Release the hands.

Feel yourself filled,

Supported by the energy of the Earth.

Feel yourself glow with her radiance,

Her beauty.

And when you're ready,

You can softly open up the eyes,

Take in the light of this new day and go on into your day,

Supported with the energy of the Earth and radiating with her light.
