Hello and welcome to the New Moon Guided Meditation for October 2023.
Yes,
It's October already and just about halfway through the month and the days are noticeably shorter and darker.
It's just starting to get dark now,
But I love that light.
We've had a lovely sunny day here and it's just coming up through the new moon at five to seven in the evening UK time.
So the new moon is time for reflection.
Maybe take some quiet time to go within,
Set some intentions for the next month,
Reflect on the last month.
This is a time for you to do what you need.
Listen to your intuition and just trust that that you will,
Whatever you need is going to come from this meditation.
And it may be that you want to journal afterwards.
So have a notebook handy.
And my meditations are channeled,
So I don't always know what's going to happen.
They're not scripted or planned.
They're very much in the moment and I tune in to the,
Well,
Just the energy of the moon,
Because I just,
It's very,
It feels very quiet around the around the new moon.
The full moon is like there.
And I often have difficulty sleeping when it's the full moon.
But when it's the new moon,
There's that,
Especially now we're moving into autumn,
Well,
We're in the autumn.
I want to just hibernate and be quiet and and sit and and reflect.
So this is an invitation for you to do the same.
It's your space,
You know,
Do what you feel is going to nurture and nourish you.
And if you wish,
You can light a candle,
Incense,
Create a sacred space and turn off all distractions.
And then if you wish,
When you're ready,
You can close your eyes.
A guided meditation for new moon October and just have a sense of the space around you.
Right now,
Coming into the present moment,
Often we're not aware because our minds are elsewhere,
We don't even notice what's going on around us.
Just take a moment to check in,
Notice how you feel.
If you've had a busy day,
Take a few deep breaths,
Just allow the mind to settle and just let the thoughts carry on in the background.
You don't need to do anything with them.
Just being aware of the breath,
Feeling the belly rise and fall.
Notice if there's any tension in your body.
You might want to just stretch your neck a bit,
Allow the shoulders to drop,
Relax your hands,
Relax the jaw.
Perhaps having your hands resting on your lap with the palms facing upwards,
Being in a receptive posture,
Being open to receive any wisdom or downloads.
And maybe there's nothing and that's fine too.
Just enjoying the stillness,
Feeling a sense of peace.
Just being aware of the energy of the moon,
Which is mostly shadowed by the Earth at this time,
And as the moon is behind the shadow,
So can we take that time to slow down,
Go within?
Maybe your body just feels a sense of relief.
Finally,
We can relax,
Just sit and be.
And if any thoughts come up,
Just acknowledge them and let them go.
Right now,
All you have to do is sit and breathe.
Whatever's going on in the world around you,
You can still feel peaceful inside,
Feeling the breath,
Feeling the energy of the moon,
And allow your body to be filled with peace and stillness and love.
Just sitting,
Just being,
Sitting with the breath,
Feeling your chest rising and falling,
Breathing away all your troubles and worries and breathing in peace,
Just feeling that calm,
Feeling your body and the space around you,
Protecting you,
Nurturing you,
Wherever you go.
