Health and healing through meditation. Prioritizing meditation is good for immune system health. Slowing down to listen to your body aids healing and recovery. In this guided meditation we practice whole-body breathing to heal the body and mind. We're coming out of winter now but it’s still the time of the year when our immune systems can be more susceptible to picking up bugs and other illnesses. When you commit to practising meditation it does have benefits to your health. It puts us more in connection with our bodies and we become more aware of what's going on and what our body needs.

Hello and welcome to this week's meditation is for health and healing because we're coming out of winter now gradually it's very cold here today and that's a time of the year when our immune systems can be a bit bit low we can be more susceptible to picking up bugs and other things that are being passed around you take time to rest because your body needs can heal itself it can recover but it won't be able to do that if you're using all your energy for other things so this guided meditation is designed to help you to do that to slow down to listen to your body of course I'm not making any medical claims that this is going to make you better because it still may be that you've got a condition you need to go and see a doctor or medical professional but we can support that healing journey ourselves because if you you know if you need to have any kind of medical interventions then it you need to be able to support that to support your healing to support your recovery and it or even if it's just something that's simple your recovery your journey into wellness whatever that look looks like for you so do feel free now to pause the video turn off any distractions get yourself into a comfortable position and of course you can come back to this guided meditation as often as you wish there is no music or any other distracting sounds it's just you being with yourself and and your body and your direct experience so take a couple of deep breaths feel the ground beneath you however you're being supported that might be through the soles of your feet your legs the sitting bones and that's really important just to ground yourself bring you back into the present moment and if that's all you did you probably start to feel a bit better and then if you want you can close your eyes and that's the sound of the bell dies away feel the breath entering and leaving your body and as you breathe in just imagine you're breathing in healing light healing energy spreading throughout your body to the places that need healing you can imagine that light is warm nurturing and penetrating any areas any part of you that may not be as healthy as you'd like I'm just allowing this light to support you in your healing journey and perhaps you can feel your body relaxing as your breath releases any tension calms any anxiety and if your mind wanders off get caught up in thinking come back to the healing breath and you might be aware of any sounds or anything else that you can perceive through your senses to bring you back into the present moment where everything is okay safe by feeling safe and allowing the body to relax giving it the space and time that it needs to heal giving yourself some love as well appreciating your body for everything that it does to support you on this journey through this life and now this is our opportunity to give that back to our bodies to give it some love and appreciation and allowing it to do what it does best and if any feelings or emotions come up notice where you feel that in the body too feeling your body relax filling up with the light as you breathe in and as you breathe out letting go of anything that gets in the way of your healing coming back to the breath the mind wanders off feeling the whole body breathing breathing in the healing light and breathing out any obstacles to the body's healing and now just being aware of the whole of the body the space around the body having a sense of the room,
