Transcript

Take some time now to relax in your chosen space,

And now I ask you to simply focus on your breath.

Don't look to articulate or question whether the breath is right or wrong,

Simply observe and relax.

In preparation for this practice,

I now ask you to take your focus to the top of your head and your forehead.

Our intention here is to physically relax and become soft,

To release energy stored as tension or stress.

So starting at the top of your head,

Focus now around the forehead and the eyes.

Can you become a little more relaxed here?

And now moving down to the cheeks and the jaw.

Allow the jaw to drop a little.

This may open the bottom lip,

And that's perfect.

And now down to the neck,

The shoulders,

And let's pause here for a moment,

At the shoulders and the top of the chest and back.

So often a storage area for stress.

Allow the shoulders to drop slightly here.

Feel as the energy almost falls away,

Dissipates.

And now let's continue down through the tops of our arms,

Chest and back.

Down past the elbows,

To the bottom of the arms,

And directly into our hands and the ends of our fingers.

Let's pause again here and focus around the stomach and lower back.

And perhaps a gentle invitation to our internal organs and muscles to take some time with us too.

To simply be here with us now.

Soft,

Comfortable,

Relaxed.

And now let's move further to the waist and the hips,

The pelvic region.

Again a simple intent to become soft,

To let go of any energy stored as stress.

Down through the tops of the legs and to the knees.

And let's take a little time with the knees.

So important to us for mobility,

Movement and direction.

Perhaps visualise as a warm elixir or oil moves through the knee joint.

Lubricating,

Warm,

Healing.

And now down through the bottoms of the legs,

Slowly over the ankles and into the feet and all the way through to the ends of each toe to complete the scan.

And whilst our focus is at the bottoms of our feet,

Let's give ourselves a moment to feel the firm connection with the floor below.

The space that we are in now.

Grounding.

If you're lying down and listening to this recording,

Then the bottom of the back works for this perfectly,

Against the floor or the bed.

So let's take our focus back to our feet now,

In preparation for the second part of our healing journey.

I want you to know that you have created a transcendence in this space.

Your intention to slow down and be well starts to emanate as a gentle,

Warm light in your feet.

The ends of your toes.

Perhaps you see it as a swirling light like a mist or a fog.

Perhaps a warm hue.

However you visualise it is perfect for you.

And now the light begins to move back from the toes,

Towards the back of both feet,

Into the heels,

Moving slowly but purposefully up,

Over the ankles and into the bottoms of your legs.

This light carries everything you need in this moment to be well.

To be calm.

Relaxed.

Sense now as the light continues its journey of healing up towards your knees,

And once again through both kneecaps,

Knee joints,

Continuing through the bottoms of the thighs and up towards the hips and pelvic region.

And let's pause for a moment now at the waist,

As we sense the light from the tips of our toes,

All the way through our legs,

To this point at the waist.

And now we continue the journey up,

This warm,

Healing light,

Filling the void,

Which is our stomach and our ribcage,

Moving up through all of our main organs to the chest.

And so to the shoulders.

And to complete its journey for now,

The light runs gently down each arm,

Into our hands and right to the ends of each finger.

Let's pause again now,

As the healing light that you have created in this space,

Gently settles,

Warms and nurtures your body.

You can sense that it's almost like a cleansing,

Clearing out what no longer serves.

You are replacing what was there before,

With a vibrant,

Pure,

High vibrational light.

All is well.

And now only if it feels right,

Allow the light to gently continue up,

Through the neck,

Into your head and right to the top of the crown.

Safe,

Protected and nurtured by the light.

Let's take a moment to rest and heal at this time.
