Accessing your inner genius.

Start by relaxing your body as much as you can.

Let the tension drain out of your muscles as you breathe in and out increasingly,

Calmly,

And slowly.

Feel your body becoming softer and softer on each and every exhale.

Now start to notice your breath.

How does it feel right now?

Is it deep or shallow,

Cool or warm?

Try not to change the breath at all.

Let it be natural and just notice how it feels and where it's moving in your body.

Keep your attention one-pointed on the air going in and coming back out.

Imagine you're following it the whole way in and following it the whole way back out.

Is it easy to follow?

Does your attention wander elsewhere?

Just notice only observing.

Now move your attention to the back of the forehead.

Imagine there is a movie screen there behind your eyes that you can see a beautiful genie's lamp sitting there just behind your eyes.

Notice all of its details.

What color is it?

What size is it?

What shape?

The magical lamp is the container inside you that holds your inner genius.

You only have to coax it out.

Now that you can clearly visualize your lamp,

Let it remain there and turn your mind to something that you really,

Really love to do.

Something you feel good at.

Something that comes easy to you.

It doesn't matter what it is.

Genius inspiration comes in all forms.

It's probably something that makes you feel happy and light when you think of it.

You'd probably say that you feel most like yourself when you're doing this activity.

Try to imagine yourself doing this thing in as much detail as you can possibly imagine.

Slowly visualize and see how your body reacts.

You'll know you found it when you can use all your senses to imagine it easily and it feels as if it were happening right now.

There may be more than one thing that makes you feel like this and that's perfectly fine.

It's possible you don't know of anything yet that makes you feel this way and that's also fine.

Just continue to focus your attention inwards and explore how you feel when you imagine doing the things you love.

Try not to become frustrated if it isn't making sense just yet.

Instead,

See if you can cultivate a sense of curiosity,

Even excitement about what you're going to find inside.

When you think you've found something that expresses your inner passions and gifts,

Imagine your lamp again.

Watch your inner genius materialize from inside the lamp,

Ready to grant your wish of expressing your desires every day by doing the things that you love,

By expressing your unique genius.

This force is ready and willing to guide you to reach your fullest potential.

The spirit of your unique gifts is always waiting inside for you to seek its guidance.

It is eternally channeling inspiration to you in the form of the dreams,

Insights and passions that most excites you in this life.

When you feel ready,

Start to notice your breath again.

See it moving naturally in and out.

Rising and falling.

Moving naturally in and out.

Rising and falling.

Follow it for a few moments.

Now feel your body begin to energize a bit more.

With every inhale,

Re-engaging with the physical body and the physical space it's in.

Then slowly open your eyes.

Return to this meditation regularly to enhance your concentration and to get closer to your inner genius and the cultivations of your life's passion.

Your inner genius can also be known as your Ikigai.

A Japanese word that means your reason for being.

Your life's purpose.

It is something that lights you up,

Brings you joy and makes you feel excited about getting up.

It makes you feel excited about getting up each day.
