Hey there well I am outside today the wind isn't blowing as much so the background noise should be to a minimum of course with these podcasts I like to be as original as possible little to no edits because I just like for these to flow this way but today we are going to dive into setting intentions using affirmations so grab your smoothie or cup of tea and join the conversation let's go hey there seem like a bird is calling for his family or her family whatever it's been at it for a while now it is beautiful outside it is so hot oh my goodness looks like we're getting the heat nature is turning up the heat early for the summer and so I decided to come outdoors and enjoy this time just reminded again when I first started my podcasting I was outside outside enjoying being outdoors but the only time I was really mostly doing inside podcasts is when I had some interviews early on and I may go back to that platform and that um not platform that layout again maybe but as of right now it's a solo podcast and as I'm sitting outside I have one of my children they decided they wanted to do yoga outside so getting some good old vitamins and yoga in so that's always exciting so as we talk about setting intentions using affirmations affirmations are awesome if you've been following me for a while I'm always I have some type of quote or some type of saying those are like affirmations things that I have spoken over myself and I share it with you in hopes that you will speak it over yourself if you so choose to do and my whole meditation journal that I created it's been out for a while now on Amazon I had it on lulu.
Com and then I had it on Barnes and Noble but I took it down from those platforms and you'll see as you become an author it's great getting the word out in those different platforms however it does leave a lot of opportunity for other people in global like if you do global distribution to resell your book at a much higher higher price and they had jacked that thing up so high and I didn't in good faith I didn't want that you know yes it was good advertisement but I don't feel that people should pay the amount that was out there for this journal I mean it's worth the goal but you know I want to make it as affordable as possible and just I like to be in control of a little bit more in control I know Amazon you still don't have that as much control but my goal one day is to have my own way of distributing the books and not have to actually use Amazon so that's my goal one day but full of this journal is full of all the affirmations that I created and a lot of them turned into meditations and so I've so enjoyed sharing those with you and I see that people have downloaded more and more and so I appreciate you for seeing value in these podcasts in these meditations also don't forget them on insight timer the insight timer app it's a great app for you to use there's thousands of meditations on there and my meditations are some are in that number and so if you are on that app show your love by following me on there and listening to those meditations I do get like a little incentive when people actually listen to it to them I just learned that it's like oh wow you know you get a little incentive for people like living comments I think and like reviews and then also when they actually actually listen so thanks in advance for that affirmations are words phrases sayings little mantras that you can use to change your mindset that's the main thing to change your mindset have a change of mind when you start speaking things over yourself things begin to happen in your life for the for the more high frequency or more the lower frequency you know if you set some of those negative things things are considered negative to yourself in the mirror you know a lot of times you act out that eventually it just flows that way but when you decide to change and reframe your thoughts in your speech I'm sure you've noticed more higher vibrational things coming your way and so with affirmations that's what it's all about changing that mindset having different outlooks you know putting that speech out to the universe of what you want what you want to happen what you truly want to happen a lot of times you may say sometimes you may say that what you want to happen but then your actions are something else so when you speak affirmations over yourself make sure everything is lining up your speech what you're saying what you're doing the company that you keep let it all line up so it can flow you know to you when you are confused you're double-minded you're unstable so how do you expect the things that you want to flow the way they should if you don't even know what you want if you're doing things contrary to what you're saying or even the company that you keep the friends that you're hanging out with or the conversations that you are having or listening to so the way you can set use affirmation is to you know to set your intentions is you need to know what you want you need to know what you want you want to live a more healthy wholesome life write that down write down exactly what you want and you need to move in that direction to move in that direction it doesn't matter if you don't physically see it at the moment but you believe it that it will come to you that's the that's the thing you're speaking it your way you're letting all the things in the universe move towards you move towards what you are favoring what you want what you desire like the law of attraction you know some people use say they use the law of attraction others they may pray meditate whatever you want to call it all it is is positioning yourself to receive so i want you to position yourself to receive so number one i want you to first write down what it is that you want you want some you got healthy living goals write down what they are believe what you're putting on that paper and then i want you to look around and see what do you need to do for that to flow your way maybe you need to rearrange a room or something or park farther away if you want to get more steps in or you may have to you know join a gym or wake up early to add some meditation and whatever that healthy living type goals that you have see what you have to do to move into that place that's number two so number one set the intention by writing down the goal number two positioning yourself in there and number three speak it over yourself and i have the perfect affirmation for that so i want you to take a deep breath breathe in and breathe out breathe in and breathe
