Meditation To Move Into A State Of Allowance

The focus of this meditation is to see where resistance is showing up in our lives and how it has been serving us. We envision what our life looks like when we are in a state of flow and allowance. This is a great meditation to get your day started purposefully.

We'll get started by grounding into the earth and getting settled.

And then we will see where in our lives is resistance showing up.

What are we resisting?

When we're in a state of flow and allowance,

The universe just brings us things with ease and things happen for us so easily.

But when we're in a state of resistance,

We can notice the things that we're wanting aren't coming through.

So this morning,

We'll be able to take a look at that.

So I just want you to get settled,

Find a comfortable seat with your legs cross-legged or feet flat on the ground.

I invite you to close your eyes.

Be aware of your body in this present moment.

Become aware of your breath and we'll begin by taking an inhale for the count of four and an exhale for a count of four.

So inhale,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Exhale,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Inhale,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Exhale,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Inhale,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Exhale,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

And let the breath go.

Allow it to be natural.

I want you to set an intention for this practice this morning.

What is your purpose for sitting in meditation right now?

Now I want you to notice the chair that's supporting you right now.

How does it feel underneath your bottom and your back?

Just feel how it's supporting you.

Bring your awareness to the base of your tailbone,

Your root chakra,

And from here extends a tree trunk,

Thick and wide.

And see this tree trunk connecting from the base of your tailbone and it connects onto the earth.

So there's a tree stump that connects from the base of your tailbone to the earth.

This tree trunk now goes into the earth and it takes you deeper and deeper down through all the layers of the earth,

Down,

Down,

Down into the crystalline core of the earth.

See your tree trunk connecting with this clear crystal.

See the roots of your tree grounding into this core of the earth.

Thank the earth for keeping you grounded all day long and ask her if there's any medicine,

Messages or wisdom for you today.

Take a moment to honor your connection with the earth and on your next in-breath,

Bring the energy up from the core of the earth back up through the tree,

Back up through all the layers of the earth,

All the way back up into your body.

Now just take a moment to take note of your life and see,

Ask yourself,

Your highest self,

What part of me is resisting?

Where in my life am I not in the flow?

If you aren't getting an answer,

Tell yourself that you're willing to listen with an open heart and trust your intuition with whatever comes forward.

Ask yourself,

What part of me is in resistance?

Notice if you can sense a color or a shape.

Does the resistance lie somewhere in your body?

And once you get a sense of it,

Ask it how it's been serving you.

Thank it for doing a great job serving you in the past,

But you're ready to move forward with grace.

You can ask it if it has anything it wants to share with you and you can have a conversation with it.

When it feels complete,

Thank it for showing up today.

Thank it for doing a great job serving its purpose,

That you honor it and appreciate it and you love it and see it going into this brilliant gold and white light and know that it has been transformed back into a state of love.

Now I want you to witness.

What would it look like if you were in a state of flow and allowance?

What would your life or day look like if everything worked out for you?

See what that looks like.

What are you doing?

Who are you with?

See if you can sense how good it feels or how effortless everything happens for you.

Can you feel the difference of what it feels like to be in a state of allowance and flow with the universe,

Then in resistance to it and let that go?

Come back into your body.

Allow your breath to be your focus of attention,

Witnessing it as it comes and goes.

If the mind wanders,

Just bring it back to the breath gently.

Now ask yourself,

What is my intention for today?

How do you want to show up?

How can I allow myself to be in a state of allowance today?

Is there something that you can let go of control of?

May you go forward through your day with ease and grace.

And so it is.
