Hello there.
Thank you for joining me for this full moon meditation.
I'm John Sadiq.
It's wonderful that you are choosing to meditate on the full moon.
It's such a beautiful time of the month,
A time of mystery,
A time of dreams,
A time of inspiration.
You get a sense of the familiar being less familiar,
A sense of your aliveness and your wildness,
This kind of Remind it to us.
I don't know about you,
But on nights like this,
I like to be outside.
I head into the hills,
I head into the trees.
I have a place up the hill where I go and nestle and I watch the moon come up and meditate,
Take a flask of herbal tea with me.
So if you are outside,
That's absolutely fantastic.
If you're in your home and you just,
You've lit a candle and some incense,
That's fantastic too.
Let me invite you to take your meditation seat.
This is just going to be a very gentle practice where we come into the fullness of our being and illuminate all of that beautiful aspect of our own mystery.
Just allowing yourself to actually be here.
I be here.
I'm inviting you to.
.
.
Drop back from using any force.
From trying to create a meditation experience.
Just feel your body.
In the room that you're in or in the landscape that you're in.
Feeling just the Wholeness of your body.
Not separate from the landscape or the environment,
Just present.
And actually,
If it does help you.
Just allow yourself to feel as if the energy or the breath is moving down the front of your body as the natural out-breath occurs.
And then as the natural in-breath occurs,
Allow yourself to feel.
The breath or the energy going up the back body.
Out down the front.
In the back.
Your eyes can be opened or closed.
Tuning in to the sounds that you can hear.
Maybe there's birds.
Nature sounds.
Maybe you're on a rooftop in a city.
Maybe you're just in a quiet room at home.
Just allowing yourself to hear near and far.
And notice how,
As we listen,
Little things kind of hook our attention.
The mind latches onto a thing,
Tries to figure it out.
The emotions react to something.
Are we saved?
Let yourself know that you are safe.
Maybe placing a hand on the heart.
Or feeling into the feeling of life in your body.
The solid quality of your body,
The flow beneath you.
And just notice,
As we take this gentle setup time.
You allow kind of gentle uprightness of life energy to flow through the spine.
Your shoulders to be easy.
For your hands to be on your knees or keeping one hand on your heart.
How over a few moments without making effort,
How your natural sense of simple self is there underneath everything.
We have our dreams and we have our fears and we have our.
.
.
DailyLive We have our situation.
But there's a thread.
The feeling of life,
The feeling of.
.
.
Your wild spirit.
The authentic you.
Noticing.
The play of thoughts in your mind.
But notice that you notice.
Just like you're noticing the sound.
Noticing the feeling of your body.
Just inviting you to not try to stop your thoughts.
But just to allow yourself to rest more in awareness than being hooked in thought.
And the same with the emotion,
We feel the different qualities of emotion within us,
Everything from frozen things to expansive things.
Joyful things to painful things.
Things were keeping down.
Things we wish would open out more.
And just allow yourself to rest in the awareness that sees all of that.
And settling.
Easing and becoming.
More presents.
The moon above you.
The earth beneath you.
The space around you.
Healing energy of this night.
And your cell.
In and of the world.
Beautiful,
Sweet self.
Notice your sense of your intrinsic awareness.
Your sense of self.
The light of yourself.
Is more apparent to you.
It's not the same as your thoughts or your feelings.
It's that of you which experiences thoughts and feelings in your body.
And your sense of the world.
But it is the experiencer.
Very gently.
I would love to invite you.
On this night.
To allow that sense of yourself.
To feel the mystery of your own being.
Not trying to solve it.
Not trying to turn it into something.
But just experiencing the mystery of yourself.
The open quality of your being.
The sense of your own unique identity.
But without being pushed into.
Peeling into your.
.
.
Underlying sense of aliveness,
You can feel the life in your body.
You can feel the aliveness of your tongue,
Your eyes,
Your brain,
Your skin.
Clothes against your skin,
The aliveness of the air.
Whatever age you are.
Whatever your.
.
.
Position in life,
Status and so on.
Your aliveness is yours.
And also feeling into or seeing from the light of yourself.
Your dream.
Your inspiration.
And just like with our thoughts and feelings and the sounds,
Inviting you not to hook your dreams or hook your inspirations or try to possess the mystery of your being.
But to allow the light of yourself to light them up from within.
Illuminating your mystery.
Illuminating.
Your dreams of where you would like to go and how you would like to live.
And how you want to express yourself.
Illuminating your inspiration,
The wind in your sail.
The invitation from within your own life to your self,
To your spirit.
Letting your inner light illuminate.
Everything of you.
In LI,
And the Moonlight.
Perhaps you almost feel as if the moonlight is shining down on you.
And the inner light is radiating out of you.
And perhaps they are the same light.
Perhaps the moonlight is the reminder of your inner light.
And of course,
The moonlight is surrounded by the sky and the stars.
Perhaps there's clouds scudding across the sky.
Moon and space.
And the light within yourself and the space of yourself.
One and the same.
Yourself.
Sitting here in meditation.
The Earth is your witness.
The moon is your witness.
And your reminder.
As your inspiration.
Let's take a couple of moments just resting like this.
Feel yourself sitting here.
Feel the aliveness within you.
The aliveness in your physical body.
Allowing your in-breath to be slightly longer than your out-breath.
Inspiration.
The sense of the wholeness of your being on this moonlit night.
The peace within you.
And the peace of the moon and the stars,
The sky.
The mystery and open quality.
Gently.
Beginning to draw this meditation to a close.
When you're ready.
Perhaps just swaying side to side a little bit.
I'm coming back to.
Your illuminated,
Ordinary,
Beautiful Self.
Thank you for sitting with me.
May the light of the moon illuminate your dreams,
Your truth,
Yourself.
Lots of love,
Take care.
