Let's lean into how great your life is already.
Let's build a gratitude tree.
I love doing this mental exercise whenever I'm having a bad day,
But it's even easier if you're already in a decent place.
Close your eyes,
Get comfortable,
And expel three exhales in a row through your mouth.
Enjoy a beat of silence.
Then take a deep inhale.
Repeat the three beat exhale until you feel more relaxed.
Then release control of your breath.
Think of all the things you're grateful for.
It could start as mundane as the weather being nice,
Or it could be as material as you want.
Build your list quickly with as many related things you're grateful for.
For example,
The weather's nice and the flowers in the backyard are blooming.
Oh,
I'm grateful that my house is cozy.
I'm thankful for the food in my fridge.
Thanks body for digesting automatically.
Keep going,
Really stretching yourself beyond the obvious things.
Try to make as many branches of the gratitude tree as you can.
Take a few minutes to do this now.
This has been knocked out.
