We can pick up the pen,
No longer feeling tossed about by the whims of fate,
Shaping our story any way we dream,
Becoming the author of our life.
Each day is a whole new page,
A clean slate.
An opportunity to write your story exactly how you want it to look.
The past is done and over.
It is not a place to live,
Remaining stuck,
Judging and questioning each and every little detail.
The past is a place where you learn lessons.
We cannot erase it.
We cannot be afraid to move on.
