Close your eyes gently and sink into your bed.
Let the warmth of your blankets hold you safely as you settle deeper and deeper.
Come into your breath,
Just noticing its rhythm,
Following its waves in and out of you,
In and out,
Over and over again,
Slowing your body down,
Slowing your mind down,
And bringing you right here.
Now,
Imagine yourself standing in a wide open field.
The ground is blanketed in snow,
And the world is hushed,
Wrapped in silence and stillness.
The moon glows high above,
Casting silver light across the landscape.
From the shadow of the trees,
A snowy owl appears.
Its wings are wide and powerful.
Its white feathers are shimmering against the night sky.
The owl's golden eyes meet yours,
Steady and knowing,
As if it carries ancient wisdom it longs to share with you.
Without a sound,
The owl lowers itself beside you and bows its head,
Inviting you to climb on to its back.
You rest your hands on the softness of its feathers,
And as you do,
You feel a calm strength flowing into you.
The owl spreads its wings,
And with one graceful motion,
You are lifted into the sky.
The ground falls away,
And you rise higher.
The cold night air is brushing against your cheeks,
And the world beneath you is sparkling with snow.
The owl glides silently,
His wings steady and sure.
There is only ease and flow as he carries you through the night.
You pass over forests blanketed in silver,
Over rivers frozen into crystal ribbons,
And hills rolling softly under the moon's watchful light.
As you soar,
You can feel all those worries melt away.
Every flap of the owl's wings unburdens you a little more,
Releasing all those things you no longer need to hold.
The owl turns his head slightly,
As if to remind you,
You are safe,
You are carried,
You are free.
You fly higher now,
Above the clouds,
And where the stars sparkle bright,
And the silence is deep and infinite.
The owl drifts here,
Resting with you in the vast stillness,
Showing you the peace that has always been here,
Just waiting for you to notice.
In time,
The owl begins to descend,
His wings slow and gently guide you back toward the snowy field.
He lands softly,
And you step down.
You can feel your body is lighter,
And your heart is calmer,
And your mind is quiet and clear.
The owl bows once more,
And then spreads his wings and disappears into the night,
Leaving you wiser,
Calmer,
More rooted,
And ready to sleep.
Namaste,
Beautiful.
