Close your eyes,
And take a slow breath in,
And then exhale and release.
Another deep breath in,
Expanding your lungs and belly.
Then breathe it all out,
Letting everything go.
Ease into a steady,
Natural rhythm of breathing as you allow your body and your mind to slow down.
A gentle sound reaches your ears,
It's the soft lapping of water,
And you see that you are standing on the shore of a still lake.
Above you,
The moon glows brightly.
Its silver light spills across the surface,
Turning the water into liquid glass.
At the edge of the lake,
A small wooden boat waits.
Its lantern flickers,
Casting a warm glow that dances across the ripples.
You step inside gently,
Settling into the curve of the boat.
It rocks once,
And then steadies,
As if ready to carry you wherever you need to go.
The oars dip quietly into the water,
And the boat begins to move,
Each stroke smooth and silent,
Like gliding across satin.
The moon lights your path,
Stretching across the lake,
The silver road guiding you forward.
The night air is cool on your cheeks,
Crisp and fresh,
Carrying the scent of pine and earth.
You tilt your head back and see the stars sprinkled endlessly above.
Their light shimmers in harmony with the moon's reflection below.
With each gentle glide,
The heaviness of the day falls away.
A thought loosens from your mind,
A worry drips off of your shoulders,
And a memory softens into the night.
The water reflects your calm,
It mirrors your stillness,
And it welcomes you home.
As you gaze across the lake,
You notice shapes dancing on the water,
The outlines of trees,
The glows of fireflies,
A soft ripple of fish moving just beneath the surface.
The boat drifts into the center of the lake,
Where the moonlight is the brightest.
Here,
The water is glassy and still,
And you feel yourself floating,
Not just on the water,
But in the quiet embrace of the night.
You feel the boat sway gently,
Back and forth,
Back and forth,
Like a cradle rocking you into dreams.
Each sway carries you deeper,
Each breath softens you more,
Each moment draws you closer to sleep.
The boat will carry you as long as you need,
The moon will light your way,
The stars will keep watch,
And the lake will hold you in perfect stillness.
Namaste,
Beautiful.
