Take a moment to close your eyes,
Settle in,
And give in to yourself.
Give in and go inside,
Relax and find a space inside where you're completely comfortable.
Now imagine standing at the window,
Watching a group of children on a playground.
As your eyes scan the playground,
You see two girls swinging,
Their long hair catch a breeze and fly up as they swing higher and higher.
As you watch the girls,
You hear their giggles and shouts of delight,
And a smile finds its way onto your face.
Moments later,
You notice two boys playing catch.
They each toss the ball and raise their gloves without missing,
All while smiling.
As you continue to scan the playground,
You see a group of girls and boys playing four square and laughing.
The two girls jump off the swings and begin skipping across the playground,
To the jungle gym hand in hand,
Smiling.
Then they lean over and whisper to each other,
Laughing even more.
As you watch the children,
You feel a vibrant energy bouncing inside of you,
An energy with such wonderful force that you wish you could join the children.
So you draw in a deep breath and imagine yourself on the playground,
Running with the girls,
Laughing with the boys.
You hop off the jungle gym and run to play four square,
Laughing every time you make a move with the ball.
Before you know it,
The whistle blows and the children run to their teacher,
While you are magically transported back home.
And now,
Back at home,
You feel a new spark,
A youthful energy impacting the mind,
Body and spirit.
The child within you has awakened.
And as you go through the day,
The joy of the child's world colors all you see and do,
Filling you with light,
Love,
And laughter.
