Hello there,
This is Kelly and I thought I'd share with you a quick meditation to start your day.
So if you'd like to close your eyes and find a comfortable place to sit,
Bringing your attention to your breath,
Breathing in through your nose and breathing out through your nose for slightly longer.
Please place your hands over your heart and allow a smile to be on your lips.
Feel as if you're nourishing yourself.
Keep focusing on your breath,
Allowing that out breath to be slightly longer than your in-breath.
Hold the smile.
Allow the smile to spread into your eyes and feel the benefits of the oxytocin that's now being released from the simple practice of breathing and smiling.
Bring your attention in to your solar plexus,
Which is just above your navel.
Feel yourself go deep,
Go deep into the solar plexus.
Allow your body to relax and your mind to be at peace.
Open your eyes.
As you create a place of peace for yourself here and now,
Know that this will energise your day.
This little bit of work that we start the day with will have an effect on your whole day by breaking out,
Helping you to feel calm and centred.
Now take a moment to send loving energy to anyone that you're planning to meet today,
Anywhere that you're going,
Feel as if this beautiful calm energy is going with you.
Allow it to be there for you.
Feel connected to this beautiful planet.
Now take a few moments to feel a sense of gratitude for your breath,
For your health wherever it is and for your life.
Release your hands down and you can relax them in gi and mudra,
Just thumb and fore finger together or just palms facing up.
Just taking a few more moments to feel that wonderful sense of balance.
Using the intention to keep this energy with you throughout the day.
My prayer to you is that you tread peacefully through the day,
Sharing your radiance and energy with others.
Calm them,
Set them a namaste.
And then if you haven't already,
Just bringing yourself gently back,
Stretching up,
Giving your hands a little shake,
Opening your eyes and feeling ready for your day ahead.
Alhamdulillah.
