Welcome to this short morning meditation.
It's the perfect addition to your morning routine to remind you that you deserve to begin your day with happiness and ease,
Even in challenging or stressful times.
Let's begin.
Please come to find a very comfortable seat.
Maybe sit up on a cushion or even in a chair if it helps you to find a nice tall spine.
You can rest your palms on your thighs,
The palms either facing down or up,
Whatever feels best to you right now.
Gently close your eyes.
Take some movement to arrive in this moment.
Maybe a few neck circles or maybe a few wrist circles with your palms.
Maybe take a few shoulder rolls forwards and then backwards,
Waking up your body.
And notice if you've tensed up in your face or your shoulders.
Try to relax all the tiny muscles even around your eyes and your eyebrows.
Soften your jaw.
Relax your entire face.
Relax the neck and shoulders.
And come to notice how you're feeling right now.
And just know that however you're feeling is okay.
There's no need for you to force or push yourself into feeling otherwise.
Simply take a mental note of your emotions in this moment without any judgement.
I'm now going to guide you through a visualization that will let you start your day with new energy and positivity.
Imagine you're outside.
Surrounded by nature.
And that could be anywhere in the world.
Maybe you're in a forest or at the beach or in the mountains.
Wherever you are,
Be fully aware of your surroundings.
Notice the sounds.
Maybe birds singing.
Notice the smell.
The fresh air.
And all the colors around you.
It's still early in the morning and the sun is still rising.
Beginning to shine in this golden bright color and everything that is touched by this golden light starts to shine too.
Like it's illuminated by the sun.
You're at this place of pure harmony and ease.
Everything quiet except for the sounds of nature.
There's nobody else but you.
This is your time to awaken.
Together with the first sun rays and all the little critters that live in this place.
There's a soft breeze of the freshest air you ever breathed.
It's caressing your whole body with this ease.
And you're now starting to notice that this ease is beginning to unfold within your whole body.
Your mind is calm but awake.
The golden light of the sun energizes your skin,
Illuminates it and all the cells of your body are taking in this energy for the day ahead.
Sit in this place of golden light and energy of this light for one more full minute in complete silence.
This is your time to awaken.
You're at this place of pure harmony and ease.
There's a soft breeze of the freshest air you ever breathed.
This is your time to awaken.
Now is your time to set an intention for this day ahead.
It's your time to deliberately decide that today is going to be a very good day.
You maybe want to choose one word as your intention for this day.
Like inspiration or ease or happy.
And trust that your intuition is going to let you know what is going to be the best for you today.
Slowly return back,
Become aware of your surroundings and the surface of what you're sitting on.
Thank yourself for taking this time to set the tone for the rest of the day and maybe gift yourself a smile on your face.
Bring your hands together in front of the chest.
You can dip your chin slightly.
And when you're ready,
You can open your eyes again to go about your day.
