Welcome to loving kindness guided meditation for compassion.

Find a comfortable position.

Create a space around you with minimal distractions where you can be supported comfortably.

Seated or lying down with a straight back.

Settle into your body.

Find ease with your breath.

Let yourself come into the present moment without judgement,

Without expectation.

Feel and breathe.

When you're ready,

When you feel relaxed and in your mind's eye,

Imagine that you are standing at the center of the spiral.

It can be as simple as a line drawing or as complex as a garden path.

Follow the spiral as it flows away from you at the center.

Now begin to think of your loved ones,

The people closest to you,

Spouse,

Children,

Family,

Friends,

All of the people with some kind of emotional connection to you.

See them standing along the spiral path.

Begin to feel the strength of your emotional connection with them.

Let that connection begin to draw you forward.

Imagine yourself walking along the spiral path.

As you walk,

You come to each person in turn.

Picture them before you.

As you see them,

Wish them something beautiful.

I wish them any happiness for you.

Imagine yourself telling them this in person.

Imagine how they might react to receiving these words from you.

Feel your love for this person.

Send them to your love.

Take a slow,

Deep breath and then continue on the path to share your compassion with the next person.

I wish you'd never have to suffer.

Now imagine yourself telling them this in person.

Imagine how they might react to receiving these words from you.

Feel your love for this person.

Send them your love.

Take a slow,

Deep breath and then continue on the path to share your compassion with the next person.

Standing before them.

Imagine telling them,

I wish that you are always loved.

Imagine yourself telling them this in person.

See how they might react to receiving these words from you.

Feel your love for this person.

Send them your love.

Take a slow,

Deep breath and continue on the path to share your compassion with the next person.

Standing before them.

I wish you to know that I am always there for you.

Imagine yourself saying this to every person.

Imagine how they might react to receiving these words from you.

Feel your love for this person.

Send them your love.

Take a slow,

Deep breath and then continue on the path to share your compassion with the next person.

Standing before them.

I wish you always feel safe and secure.

See yourself telling them this in person and imagine how they might react to receiving this compassion from you.

Feel your love for this person.

Send them your love and take a slow,

Deep breath before continuing on the path to share your compassion with the next person.

Standing before them.

I wish you to know how much I care about you.

Imagine yourself telling them this in person.

Imagine how they might react to receiving these words from you.

Feel your love for this person.

Send them your love.

Take a slow,

Deep breath and continue on the path to share your compassion.

Standing before them.

I wish you that with all my heart.

See yourself telling them this in person.

When you come to the end of your compassion spiral,

Repeat to yourself,

All that I wish for you comes back to me.
