Welcome to Embracing Your Singleness.
Before we get started,
I'd like to take a few minutes for some deep,
Relaxing breathing.
Make sure that you're seated comfortably and that you're able to just close your eyes and relax.
Let's take a deep breath and hold it for a few seconds.
And then slowly exhale through your mouth.
Again,
Inhale deeply.
Feel that oxygen nourishing all of your cells.
And then slowly exhale.
Again,
Inhale.
Fill your lungs with fresh oxygen.
Hold it.
And slowly exhale through your mouth.
Let's talk about singleness for a few minutes.
Did you know that all of us are single?
It doesn't matter if you're married,
In a relationship,
Or not.
You are a complete,
Whole,
Single individual.
It is so important to embrace your singleness.
When you wake up in the morning,
Take a few minutes to breathe deeply and center yourself.
Focus on your good qualities.
Focus on how you feel about yourself.
It may take some time to develop true self-love.
Before you can love yourself,
You have to first like yourself.
And the way to do that is to do little things throughout the day.
When you're brushing your teeth or washing your face,
Look into your eyes.
Say hello.
Smile at yourself in the mirror.
It takes courage to spend time looking into your own eyes,
Believe me.
But once you've gotten accustomed to doing so,
You'll be able to genuinely smile.
And I mean smile with your eyes,
Not just your mouth.
Smile with your eyes.
See those little crinkles around your eyes as you genuinely recognize yourself,
Acknowledge yourself,
And like yourself.
Take baby steps.
Simply learn to look in the mirror at yourself and smile.
This is a powerful way to embrace your singleness,
To acknowledge that you are a single individual.
Do this for the next two weeks or so until you become very,
Very comfortable with the person staring back at you.
