Welcome, dear one. It is so good to have you here! The first few minutes of our day are so important - in fact, the way we begin our day can truly dictate how the rest of it goes. For that, I have created a quick yet fulfilling guided morning meditation to help you connect to the light inside, in order to start off your day bright, vibrant, and in a relaxed, happy mood.

Hello and welcome to this guided morning meditation.

My name is Lenore and I am honored and grateful that you chose me to be your guide today.

Let's begin by closing your eyes and getting comfortable.

Maybe you're sitting cross-legged in a chair with your feet on the ground,

Maybe even lying down.

Your position does not matter as long as you are comfortable and alert.

Now we'll go ahead and get acquainted with the breath.

So slowly we'll take in three deep breaths.

Begin by inhaling a slow,

Deep,

Cleansing breath in,

Taking in the freshness of the day and filling your body with air.

Then slowly,

Peacefully exhale it all the way out,

Feeling the air travel through your abdomen,

Then your chest,

Then exhaling it gently through your nose.

We will repeat this again,

Taking in a long,

Deep breath,

Feeling the air travel in through your nose,

Down your throat,

Filling up your chest,

Your lungs,

Your stomach,

Holding it for a moment and then slowly exhaling again,

Releasing the air from your abdomen,

Feeling your stomach get smaller,

Your chest relax,

Feeling the air travel back up through your throat and out your nose or mouth.

Finally,

We'll take one last long,

Deep breath,

Inhaling through the nose,

Feeling the air traveling in through our nostrils,

Down your throat,

Filling your chest and stomach with air,

Holding it for a moment and then exhaling slowly,

Feeling your stomach fall,

Your chest relax and feeling the air again travel up through your throat and out your nose or mouth.

Now you might start to feel a bit more relaxed and breathing more with ease and just let yourself breathe in your natural rhythm.

Now you are feeling calm and easy and you're breathing in and out at a normal pace.

Now as your eyes close and your attention slowly shifts inward,

Take a moment to notice the air gently touching your skin.

Notice any sounds you may hear around you and feel the rise and fall of your chest as you breathe.

You don't have to do anything except simply exist in this moment.

If a thought appears,

Simply notice it and let it go,

Guiding yourself back to the present moment.

This might happen a thousand times and that's okay.

Simply notice the thought and allow your breath to guide you back into this moment of stillness.

Today we are celebrating the present.

Today is a new day,

Dear one.

Breathing the joy of another day,

Awakening on a warm bed,

Perhaps giving thanks for the day ahead.

A healthy meal,

A loved one,

A home,

A hug,

A blanket,

A pet,

A job.

You have so many things to be grateful for and today is yours.

It's your day to be you and you don't need to do anything else to be perfect.

Simply be you.

As you inhale,

Gently invite in love,

Gratitude,

And joy.

And with grace,

Exhale kindness and light and love.

The source of these beautiful things is inside you.

So slowly,

Calmly,

Take another deep breath in and feel this deep warmth at the center of you,

Glowing sphere,

Radiating a rainbow of colors from its core.

You might even place your fingers gently on your solar plexus at the base of your ribs,

Right below your chest and above your stomach.

Feel yourself smile and relax as you recognize this bright light as you,

Your essence,

Your own personal unique glow.

Now bring your attention back to your breath.

Every time you breathe in at your natural rhythm,

Imagine that glow gently expanding.

See each of the colors grow a little brighter and a little bigger with each breath in.

Watch it glow until it begins to radiate all around you,

Protecting you.

Bathe in the lightness,

In the love,

And in the gratitude of this new day.

And now I want you to take a moment to think about how you can take your glow into your day.

Your words and actions have the power to give light to others.

Your glow can help ignite someone else's.

Envision yourself radiating this light throughout your day and touching hearts of those around you,

Bringing them the same peace and gratitude and love.

Watch as your glow gently brightens.

You are meant to shine.

Now start to move your fingers and your toes,

Slowly bringing yourself back into this beautiful day.

Gently open your eyes,

Bring your hands to your heart.

Bow your head,

Grateful for this time you created just for you.

The light in me honors the light in you.
