Soul Travel Yoga Nidra (With Sankalpa)

This yoga nidra was created for the attendees of my Divine Timing Soul Travel retreat with the intention of connecting with your higher self and allowing yourself the opportunity to release something that is no longer serving you.

Welcome to your practice.

This is Lizbeth and I am delighted that you are here.

We're going to soul travel together in hopes that you may give yourself the gift of releasing what's no longer serving you.

Before you get settled,

Begin to take in the space that you're in with your eyes,

Noticing the corners of the room and the way the light is taking up space.

Go ahead and make your way to lie down on your back.

Allow your arms to fall alongside your body,

Palms facing up.

Be sure to get some support wherever it feels most comfortable under the knees,

Under the neck,

So that you will be the most comfortable during your practice.

Close down your eyes and allow yourself to be supported by the earth for a time of sacred rest.

As you begin to transition into this practice,

Begin to notice the textures of the things supporting your body and the way the air feels against your skin.

Feel your entire body resting on whatever is rising up to meet you.

See if you can become heavier,

Allowing your entire body to sink further into your nest.

If there are any fidgets that would make you 1% more comfortable,

Go ahead and make those now.

Listen for the sounds you hear farthest away from you.

And listen for the sounds closest to you.

We are going to take a sacred journey together,

Where your focus will transition from your outer senses to your inner senses,

Where all of your magnificence resides.

I promise to attend to your needs during this practice.

All you need to do is follow my voice as your guide.

I invite you to trust that whatever you need in this experience is exactly what you will receive.

Allow it to serve you.

No need to figure out what's going on.

Simply follow my cues.

If you need to move during the practice,

By all means do so.

Otherwise,

If you can remain still,

It will enhance your experience.

If you fall asleep,

That is okay too.

You will still receive all the healing benefits of the practice.

We will begin with progressive muscle relaxation.

Squeeze your fists as tight as possible.

And relax.

Tense up your fists and your arms.

And relax.

Squeeze your toes as tightly as you can.

And relax.

Tense up your legs from your hips to your toes.

And relax.

Squeeze your face.

And relax.

Tense up your face,

Scalp,

Neck,

And shoulders.

And relax everything from head to toe.

Tense up your entire body from your toes to your head.

Squeeze,

Squeeze,

Squeeze.

Give it all you've got.

And relax.

Tense up your entire body one more time.

Squeeze,

Squeeze,

Squeeze.

And let it all go.

Let every cell in your body relax.

And we now begin the practice of yoga nidra.

Imagine that you are now laying in the hands of your higher power.

Whatever that means to you.

Imagine you are literally being held up by that.

You are fully supported.

You feel at ease and relaxed.

What does it feel like to be supported and you can completely let go.

Releasing all that no longer serves you.

Imagine this higher power has gifted you a healing balm of swirling light and they place it in your right hand.

It has the most calming and soothing sensation.

If it feels okay with you,

This balm of healing light begins to travel up your arm to your shoulders and goes down your left arm and into your left hand.

If this feels good,

The balm begins to travel back up both arms and swirls in your heart space.

As you acknowledge this gift from your higher power who is here to provide you sacred rest and regeneration.

Is there an emotion of appreciation that you could cultivate in your heart space.

Go ahead and see what that might feel like.

Perhaps it is the sensation of joy or gratitude.

Perhaps playfulness.

Or the exuberance of a young child.

Allow yourself to feel some level of appreciation.

If you turned up the dial a tad on this sensation of appreciation,

What does that feel like,

Look like in or around your body?

See if you can allow that sensation to flow throughout your entire being,

Your physical vessel and beyond out into your aura.

Can you flow that sensation to the four corners of the room.

Allow yourself to be enveloped by this sensation of appreciation.

Bring your focus back to your heart and allow your Sankalpa to reveal itself.

This is the desire that your soul wishes to manifest in this time.

Your affirmative statement that begins with I am.

It could be as simple as I am peace.

Go ahead and state your Sankalpa to yourself with conviction.

Three times.

We are now going to activate the soil that holds your Sankalpa by helping you connect with your body with the rotation of consciousness.

I will name specific body parts and rapid succession.

And all you need to do is to visualize them or move your awareness to each part as it is named.

Bring your awareness to your right thumb.

Index finger.

Middle finger.

Ring finger.

Pinky finger.

The palm of your right hand.

The back of your right hand.

Your wrist.

Forearm.

Elbow.

Upper arm.

Shoulder.

Armpit.

Right side of ribs.

Waistline.

Hip.

Thigh.

Knee.

Lower leg.

Ankle.

Heel.

Soul of the right foot.

Top of the right foot and all five toes.

Feel the right side of the body.

The whole right side.

Bring your awareness to your left thumb.

Index finger.

Middle finger.

Ring finger.

Pinky finger.

The palm of your left hand.

The back of your left hand.

Your wrist.

Forearm.

Elbow.

Upper arm.

Shoulder.

Armpit.

Left side of ribs.

Left waistline.

Hip.

Thigh.

Knee.

Lower leg.

Ankle.

Heel.

Soul of the left foot.

Top of the left foot and all five toes.

Feel the left side of the body.

The whole left side.

Bring your awareness to the back lines of the body,

Beginning with the souls of both feet.

The heels of both feet.

Both ankles.

Both calves.

The backs of both knees.

Both sets of hamstrings.

The left and right buttocks.

Pelvis.

Low back.

Mid back.

Upper back.

Your shoulder blades.

The curve of your neck.

The back of your head.

Bring your awareness to your forehead.

Your eyebrow center.

Your right eyebrow.

Your left eyebrow.

Both eyebrows together.

Your right eye.

Your left eye.

Both eyes together.

The bridge of your nose.

Your right nostril.

Your left nostril.

The tip of your nose.

Your whole nose.

Your upper lip.

Your lower lip.

Your teeth.

Your tongue.

Your upper palate.

Your right jaw.

Your left jaw.

Your chin.

Your right ear.

Your left ear.

The space between your ears.

Bring your awareness to the center of your throat.

Notice the right side of your throat.

The left side of your throat.

Your whole throat together.

Move your awareness into your chest.

Notice your right lung.

Your left lung.

Both lungs together.

Notice your heart.

Move your awareness to your upper abdominal area.

Your lower belly and your pelvis.

Notice the tops of both thighs.

Both of your knees.

And both shins.

The tops of both of your feet and all ten toes.

Notice both legs together.

And your torso.

Now add your right arm from the shoulder to the fingertips.

And now your left arm from the shoulder to your fingertips.

Add your throat,

Face,

And head.

So that your entire body is wrapped in your awareness.

Whole body awareness.

Whole body awareness.

Whole body awareness.

If you have fallen asleep,

This is a perfect time to come back to my words.

Take a moment to observe your breath.

Notice how your body is breathing you.

Notice the space you occupy with your physical body.

Notice the spaciousness within your body.

Can you sense the spaciousness within your cells and organs?

Notice the direction of energy as you breathe.

Notice its expansion beneath you and above you.

And to the left and right of you.

Can you expand your energy to the four corners of the room?

And can you pull your energy back close to your body?

Observe the expansion and contraction of your energy and this spaciousness within and around your body and the spacious awareness that you occupy.

Bring your attention to your eyebrow center,

The seat of intuition.

Imagine a fountain of light erupting from your eyebrow center and streaming right into your heart and pouring out through the rest of your body.

As you allow this infinite flow of light to permeate your being,

I want to remind you that you are infinite.

You are whole.

Allow all the parts of you to come back to you and vibrate in your magnificent wholeness.

Feel every ounce of your wholeness.

Feel every ounce of your expansiveness.

Feel your spaciousness.

And feel your groundedness.

You,

My dear,

Are supported.

And life is designed magnificently so that you may experience emotions and life experiences that both take your breath away and drop you to your knees.

And you continue to be whole in all of your human experiences.

Always and in all ways.

Imagine a cord of light dropping down from your seat and traveling all the way to the center of the earth.

Imagine a cord of light coming into the top of your head and shining down through your spine and traveling all the way to the center of the earth.

Ask your higher self to turn anything in your body or energetic field that is no longer serving your highest good,

The color violet,

And to allow those to be washed down to this golden cord of light and delivered into the center of the earth.

To be repurposed for something more aligned with your highest good.

Sit here for a moment as you allow your mind,

Your body,

And spirit to be cleared and cleansed of anything of this past and all timelines,

Conscious and unconscious,

That do not belong to you.

Ask that all of your energy be returned to you.

Bring your attention to the space between your eyebrows,

Where you visualize a blank movie screen.

Upon the screen,

You see an image of your higher self,

The version of you that is all loving,

All knowing,

Void of ego and lacks for nothing,

Joy filled and with the strong sensation of wonder and curiosity for life.

Allow this sensation,

This knowing to wash over you like a waterfall.

You see a vast landscape before you on the movie screen and you notice the beautiful waterfall and reflective pool of water filled with the most divine crystals you have ever seen.

The water is sparkling with light and possibilities.

You make your way towards this pool.

Upon your arrival,

You are greeted by a comforting messenger who welcomes you.

They let you know they have been awaiting your arrival.

They tell you they know that you have had a hard time managing things lately and want to assure you that your time of struggle is coming to a close.

It has served its purpose and it's okay to release it now.

You are instructed to call forth the thing that is weighing you down the most and to hand it over to source to be transcended into something greater for your soul's evolution.

Bring your attention to your heart space and allow an image,

Word or color or anything else that comes up to appear that symbolizes your burden.

Allow this image to travel down both arms and into your hands.

You lean down and place this image on the side of the crystal pool.

You literally feel lighter as you stand back up.

An inner smile begins to form in your heart,

Your lips and your eyes.

You feel a sense of possibility,

An opening of sorts.

As you imagine life without this burden,

You sense an opening in your heart space.

This creates an expansive sensation that begins at the crown of your head and pours into your heart space like golden lava and travels down your legs and out your feet.

It flows down your arms and out through your hands.

You are literally humming with sparkly golden light.

All the sudden you notice you are surrounded by butterflies.

Here to applaud your participation in this next evolution of your soul.

The messenger from earlier invites you to take one final step in this releasing experience.

They tell you that this pool is infused with the energy of the highest vibration of all of the crystals of the earth.

And swimming in it will infuse the same energy into your being.

You probably undress and run right into the pool.

It is perfect in depth and temperature.

You make your way to the gentle waterfall and allow the stream to anoint your crown.

It covers you entirely.

You feel reborn.

After that waterfall experience,

You spend a few moments floating on your back in this crystal tide pool,

Gazing at the clouds above with the glee of an exuberant child.

This expansive heartfelt experience allows your Sankalpa to bubble back up to the surface for you to plant in the fertile soil of your imagination.

Go ahead and repeat your Sankalpa three times.

With this new sense of spaciousness in your heart,

You begin to visualize your Sankalpa is already being realized.

You make your way to the edge of the pool and you find a beautiful handmade gown with all of your favorite colors.

As you wrap yourself in it,

The messenger shares with you that this gown is a metaphor for all of the support,

Love,

And protection that is available in every moment.

All you have to do is imagine the gown and it will connect you instantly with love,

Protection,

And support.

You thank the messenger and make your way back to the movie screen by focusing at your eyebrow center.

You see your life three months from now projected on the movie screen.

Your Sankalpa has come to fruition and your life is even more wonderful and expansive than you could have imagined.

You shift your attention back to your heart and recall that magical swim in the crystal tide pool as you form an inner smile in your heart,

On your lips,

And in your eyes.

The practice of yoga nidra is now complete.

You begin to come back into this present moment.

You start to come back into your physical body.

You begin to hear the sounds around you.

You begin to feel the support of the earth beneath you.

As you're ready,

Begin to introduce small movements back into your body,

Perhaps brushing your thumb across your fingertips,

Wiggling your toes,

Gently rocking your head from side to side.

Bring your spiritual body back into your physical body.

Begin to notice the room that you're in.

And when you feel ready,

You can gently roll over onto your right side,

Pausing here to acknowledge your practice and the manifestation of your soul's desires.

They are on their way to you now.

As you're ready,

Gently push yourself up into a seated position.

Bring your hands to touch in prayer pose,

Resting your thumbs on your chest,

Bowing your chin to your chest.
