Welcome.
Please find yourself in a position of comfort,
Of rest,
Of stillness,
Where you can close your eyes or lower your gaze with a soft focus and be comfortable,
Be at ease.
And beginning this short meditation now with some deeper breaths,
Paying attention to the rise and fall of your chest,
Your belly,
As breath moves through you.
And if it feels good,
You can make your inhale a little longer and your exhale a little slower,
Beginning to arrive in your body,
Feeling your feet connecting you with another surface,
Inviting,
Slowing down an awareness back into your day,
Into yourself.
And now I'd like you to bring to mind what you're grateful for today,
Whether you're just starting your day or you're done or halfway through.
Think back to what's happened today and really tune into your heart.
What are you appreciating today about yourself,
About those around you,
About what's come forth?
And it can be as simple as your own breath,
Your body moving you through the day,
The food or drink you've consumed to support and nourish yourself.
It can be a text or a friend that you reached out to,
Someone you met on the street and smiled to.
It can be the smile of a loved one,
Bringing forth in your heart what you're appreciating about every hour going forward now.
Noticing if there are any negative thoughts that want to come in.
And instead of prioritizing those thoughts,
Bringing the appreciation,
The gratitude.
Might be a conversation you're going to have or a nice meal sometime for yourself,
Whether that's a walk or the gym.
Maybe you're just looking forward and appreciating going to bed tonight and relaxing,
Making every hour of your day count,
Bringing in appreciation and gratitude.
And we'll seal this short practice now with a deep inhale,
Letting your chest fill up full with intention and appreciation,
Letting your heart shine through you into your being,
Into the world around you,
And exhaling,
Thanking yourself for taking the time to connect and to bring in positive vibrations into your day.
Go ahead and open your eyes if they've been closed and return to the space around you.
