Let's begin by finding a comfortable position,

Whether it be sitting in a chair,

On the floor,

On your yoga mat,

Or laying down,

On your bed or the floor,

Or perhaps a lounge,

Wherever you feel most comfortable in relaxing.

Allow your body to begin to relax as you close your eyelids softly and begin to now calm the mind.

I want you to take a nice deep breath in,

Feel the belly rise and as you exhale feel the belly fall.

And again,

A nice breath in as you feel the belly rise and exhale feel the belly fall.

On your next inhale I want you to envision the word peace and on your exhale envision the word calm.

Nice,

Peaceful and calming breaths,

Soothing for the body.

Find a soothing rhythm of breathing that is comfortable for you.

And on your next inhale,

Find a soothing rhythm of breathing that is comfortable for you.

As you can continue to breathe in calm,

Breathe out peace or perhaps breathe in peace and breathe out calm.

Either way,

Your body is going to fully relax for you.

I want you to start with a gentle body scan.

Relax your feet,

Allow them to fall out to the sides.

Relax your ankles,

Your calves,

Your thighs,

Your glutes and your hips.

Allow them to melt underneath you,

Whether you be sitting up or laying down.

Relax your back,

Feel your shoulder blades melt into relaxation as your shoulders sink into relaxation.

Relax your hips,

Allow them to melt underneath you.

Relax your hips,

Allow them to melt underneath you.

Relax your hips,

Allow them to melt underneath you.

Relax your hips,

Allow them to melt underneath you.

Relax your hips,

Allow them to melt underneath you.

Relax your hips,

Allow them to melt underneath you.

Relax your head and feel it melting in to the pillow or to the chair or wherever it is relaxing.

Your eyes are gently closed.

Soften your eye muscles,

Soften your facial muscles and allow your jaw to relax and hang like a hammock.

All you have to do here is breathe and relax.

There's nothing for you to do right now.

There's nowhere for you to be right now.

There's no one for you to be right now.

All you need to do is breathe and relax.

There's nothing for you to be right now.

I want you to visualise yourself walking on a path through a forest.

The path is soft beneath your feet,

A mixture of all the earthy goodness such as soil,

Fallen leaves or pine needles and moss.

Each step you take relaxes you more and more.

Breathe in and smell the fresh forest air and exhale feeling refreshed.

Breathe the fresh forest air in again and your exhale breathe out completely sending your body to the surface.

Breathe in and smell the fresh forest air and exhale feeling refreshed.

Breathe the fresh forest air in and your exhale breathe out completely sending your body into full relaxation.

Take a look around your forest.

What does your forest look like?

This forest is your own special forest to calm and rejuvenate you.

The temperature is cool yet comfortable and the sun filters beautifully through the tops of the trees.

Take some time to explore your forest.

Take in the sounds,

The sights,

The whole ambience.

Clear your mind and enjoy the tranquility as we move along your path in your forest journey.
