Meditation to become calm,

Steady,

And grounded.

Before you take a seat,

Take a few moments to shake out your arms,

Legs,

And full body.

Take deep breaths in through the nose and exhale through the mouth.

Give yourself permission to make any sounds and have the intention to literally shake off what is on the surface layer of your physical,

Energetic,

And emotional body.

And when you feel ready,

Find a comfortable seat,

One that feels supportive,

Where you can sit with your spine tall and shoulders relaxed.

Feel yourself settle into your body and into the space the body occupies.

And sense that the space the body occupies is one of healing and nurturance.

Bring your awareness to your belly and notice how the belly rises and falls with the breath.

Begin to consciously shape your breath.

Take deeper,

Fuller breaths without forcing or over-striving.

Simply lengthen the breath into a perfect rhythm for you that feels nurturing and soothing.

The breath becomes like a wave that smooths out any resistance or tension you may feel within the thread of the breath and within the body and within the mind.

See for several more rounds.

And then relax the breath.

Let it come back to a natural rhythm and bring your awareness to the space between your sitting bones,

Your pelvic floor.

And sense yourself drop an energetic grounding cord down from between your sitting bones into the soils of the earth.

Feel yourself rooting deep into the earth,

Dropping a cord down from between your sitting bones deep into the soils of the earth.

And as you root down,

You sense yourself become more stable and more steady like a massive tree.

Notice the breath.

With each inhale,

Feel yourself pull energy from the earth up through your grounding cord into your pelvis and into your hips.

So as you breathe in,

You gently pull energy from the earth into your hips,

Into your pelvis,

And then as you exhale,

Feel yourself release tension,

Stress,

Or anxiety through the grounding cord into the soils of the earth.

So breathing in,

Drawing energy from the earth up through your grounding cord into your hips and pelvis,

Nurturing and healing energy.

And then as you exhale,

You release anything that feels toxic,

Heavy,

Or stressful into the soils of the earth.

And allow the breath to be effortless and easeful.

No forcing,

No pushing.

There's a sense of effortless effort.

If you like,

You can mentally repeat with each inhale,

I am supported.

And with each exhale,

I am held.

With each exhale,

Surrender all that doesn't serve you and allow yourself to be deeply held.

With each inhale,

Feel yourself being strengthened by the support of the earth.

Relax.

Relax and bring your awareness to your heart and place your right hand on your heart,

Left hand on top of right and bow your head down slightly.

Release mind to the wisdom of the heart.

Take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.

Take a moment here to connect to the heart to feel yourself being supported and held.

And when you are ready,

Open your eyes and reaffirm either mentally or out loud,

I am supported and I am held.

And move about your day from this knowing.

I am supported and I am held.
