Maja is passionate about Vedic Wisdom and the traditions that are the basis for Yoga and meditation and the path to self-realization, freedom, and bliss which includes the wonderful feeling of 'unity with the whole of existence' as described in Samadhi, the eight and final part of 'The 8 Limbs of Yoga'. Basically, Maja's work is all about building awareness, honing our conscious approach to ourselves and life in all aspects and layers as good as possible and turning the focus inward, meaning detaching from all the confusion and distractions that can cause inner chaos when we make ourselves dependent on people, things, or situations in the outside world. Maja trained as a Yoga Teacher in 2016 (RYT200 registered by Yoga Alliance), and is a certified Chopra Center Meditation Instructor (2021). She is also a certified Health & Life Coach (HCI 2019, 2014) and has maintained her own Yoga and meditation practice since almost 30 years before taking it to the next level to become a teacher. In 2022, Maja also qualified in Ayurvedic Marma Technique which is Ayurvedic energy point activation or acupressure and can be described as a guided meditation through touch. Marma Therapy also is a great self-healing modality. Maja runs Yoga and Meditation classes, courses, and workshops in Christchurch, New Zealand, as well as online.
