Welcome to this midday intervention practice.
So this is for the moments that we're feeling overworked,
Overstimulated,
Busy,
Stressed and we just need something to cut through all of that.
Just taking a moment to be with the breath,
To be with ourselves,
To sit.
So we're going to be using our internal voice and you can be sitting,
Laying down,
Standing,
However you feel best suits you in this moment.
And we'll be using the breath so let's just begin now by focusing on the breath,
Connecting to the breath.
So just taking a few deep breaths,
Allowing your breath to reach your belly,
Not just your chest.
Allowing any tension to be set free with each out breath.
So this internal voice will be saying the words Bo and Da.
So on the in breath Bo,
On the out breath Da.
So for those interested that's BoH and DaDah.
So just linking those words with your breath.
So what we're doing here focusing on the breath and we're getting some respite from our thoughts or whatever the day is bringing us.
We're giving the mind something to focus on,
Something that means nothing,
Just something that it can focus on to allow us to be in the present moment with this practice.
So this is even breathing so we're not overextending the out breath.
We're energizing by using even breathing so the nature of the short,
Two short words,
This allows us to keep our breath even.
Just energizing,
Hitting the reset button.
So let's just practice this for a moment.
And if you like you can use your voice to say these words out loud.
It doesn't have to be internal,
That's up to you,
That's your choice.
So just noticing how you feel right now.
Notice how quickly you accessed some kind of level of being uplifted,
Maybe feeling a slightly calmer and know that you have the power to do this for yourself.
Wherever you are,
Whatever's going on,
You can take that moment to breathe,
To say these words and to just get a break.
So when you're ready to resume what's next in line,
Whatever is next in your day,
Just begin to notice where you are in the space that you're in,
Having the sense of gravity,
Maybe moving your body,
Wiggling your fingers,
Wiggling your toes.
And if you've closed your eyes,
Just gently begin to open them now.
