Hello,
Friends.
Let's talk about making room for what makes you.
Feel alive.
And I don't mean adding another self-care practice to your calendar or finding something else that you're supposed to be doing for your well-being.
I'm talking about the things you genuinely enjoy.
The things that make you laugh.
The things you look forward to.
The things that make you lose track of time or remind you.
Oh yeah,
This is me baby.
Somewhere along the way,
A lot of us get,
Or got,
Really good at making room for everything we're responsible for.
Work gets our time,
Other people get our time,
Errands,
Appointments,
Obligations.
And that never ending list of things that need our attention all manage.
To find their way into our calendar.
What about the things that simply make you happy?
Those are surprisingly easy to push aside.
Especially when they don't accomplish anything that we recognize.
And I think that's worth paying attention to.
Explore what happens when we stop treating joy like something we get to have.
After everything else is finished.
Here's what I want you to notice.
What makes you feel more alive?
Not what should make you happy.
Not what would be good for you.
Not something you can parlay into personal growth.
What do you enjoy?
Maybe you already know the answer.
Maybe you haven't thought about it in a really long time.
Either way.
Pay attention for the next few days.
Because you don't have to earn joy.
And it doesn't have to be productive to deserve a place in your life.
Sometimes you get to do something for the wonderfully,
Delicious,
Ridiculous reason that you like it.
Let's make more room for that now.
