This recording goes into a deep dive where we ground ourselves in the body and then do some visualization involving exploring our gender identity with inner child work. It's meant to help you let go of fear and the conditioned ideas of who we should be so that we can embrace the essence of who we really are.

Hello and welcome.
My name is Megan,
And today I want to guide you through a little inner journey.
So,
What's the theme of this practice?
We're basically going to dive into your gender identity.
We're going to become really connected to who you are in the core of self.
By the end,
You'll likely feel grounded,
Confident,
And sure of yourself,
And you'll know more truly who you really are in terms of your gender.
So,
How do you use it?
Ideally,
Find a quiet place,
Free from distractions,
Maybe seated or laying down on a comfy,
Better chair.
Lower the lights if you can.
Listen with headphones,
And really allow yourself to relax and fall into a state of letting go.
However,
If you can't find a super quiet place,
Just do the best you can to limit distractions as much as possible.
Okay,
Ready?
Let's begin.
Start by closing your eyes.
Take a deep breath in,
Hold it,
And then breathe out.
Good.
Breathe in,
Hold it,
And breathe out.
Fantastic.
Now,
I want you to feel every single part of your body relaxing.
We'll start with moving our awareness to the tip of our toes.
So,
Feel into your toes.
Feel into all the different parts of your toes,
In between your toes.
Feel them soften.
Not through conscious effort,
But just through the process of letting them be.
That's right.
Soften,
Loosen,
Relax,
Let go.
Good.
Now,
Move up into your ankles with your awareness.
Feel all the pleasure of relaxation,
All through your feet and ankles,
Then your lower leg,
Your calf,
Your shins,
Up into your knees,
Now your upper legs.
That's right,
You're doing great.
Now,
Pay attention to the softness of your inner thighs.
Pay attention to your genitals,
Your butt,
All through your hips.
Just let it all relax.
Every part of the body that we bring our awareness to,
Just feel it softly letting go.
Good.
Then,
Let's move our awareness up into the belly and lower,
And up into your upper back.
And as you take a soft breath in,
Feel into your chest.
And as you breathe out,
Feel your chest and upper back,
Really feel yourself slipping into a deeper kind of relaxation.
And then move your awareness into your shoulders,
Your neck,
All the way down your arms,
Into your wrists and hands,
And right down to the tips of your fingers.
Feel every single part of your arms and hands soften and let go even more,
Deeper.
Now,
Into the muscles of your face,
Your jaw,
Your cheeks,
Your forehead.
Feel everything let go.
Let's just wash our awareness over the entire body once again,
Just feeling every part of your body soften a little more,
Letting go on an even deeper level.
Fantastic.
Now,
We're gonna move our awareness into the mind.
In the same way that we let our awareness naturally and effortlessly soften our body,
Let the awareness soften the mind,
Feeling your thoughts or feelings just let go.
And as you do,
It will feel almost like your mind and your body become even more in harmony.
All one soft experience of bliss and pleasure.
That's right.
Good.
Now,
In this space of relaxation,
I want you to imagine something.
We're going to go back in time in your memories to a time when you were young,
Maybe four,
Five,
Or six.
Can you remember a time when you felt innocent,
Open?
I want you to go with the first memory that comes to mind.
And if you had a tough childhood,
Maybe you never felt innocent.
If that's the case,
I want you to imagine a time where you felt the most vulnerable.
And if that's hard to do,
Just imagine yourself at a young age.
Just the first memory that comes to mind.
Good.
Now,
I want you to imagine that you're there.
The adult version of you watching,
Observing.
See the younger version of you in third person.
What are they doing?
How do they feel?
Also,
Pay attention to the location.
Is it night?
Is it day?
Is it summer,
Winter,
Fall,
Spring?
Bring your memory into as much focus as possible.
Really like you're actually there with the younger you.
Good.
I want you to go up to the younger you.
Maybe go down on one knee so you're at their height.
And I want you to talk to them.
Say,
Hi,
I'm you when you're older.
Maybe even give them a hug.
Show them some love.
Make sure they feel comfortable with your presence.
Then,
Lean close and whisper in their ear,
I'm here to get to know you.
I want to more fully understand who you really are.
What makes you happy?
Who do you want to be?
I'd love to know the deepest you.
Imagine you give your younger self a big hug and let them know it's safe to fully express from their soul.
Maybe even say it,
I'm here to be a safe space.
You can fully be yourself.
Alright,
Now I want you to imagine that your younger self starts talking freely.
They just express how they're feeling,
What they want,
What they want to be when they grow up,
And just when they are relaxed and in a flow of conversation,
I want you to ask them a question.
Do you want to be a boy or do you want to be a girl?
In your heart and soul,
What would feel most most aligned,
The most affirming version of you?
And then listen to their answer.
Maybe they say they want to be a boy,
Maybe a girl,
Or maybe they say neither or both.
Feel into what they're saying,
What is their heart saying and expressing.
Then I want you to hold them tight and say,
You deserve to be you.
I want you to live true to who you are in your deepest self.
Tell me about that.
What's your deepest,
Truest expression of your soul?
Listen to them,
And when they are done expressing themselves,
Give them another big hug and say this.
You're wonderful.
You're an amazing soul,
And I truly see you.
I see your essence.
Then ask them another question.
If you could dress in any clothing,
And if that clothing matched your true soul expression,
What clothing would you wear?
What would your hair be like?
What shoes would you wear?
Let your heart go free and just tell me what you'd wear.
Then,
As they describe the clothing,
I want you to imagine that they magically shift so that they're wearing those clothes and they have that hairstyle.
They're so happy.
They're wearing an outward expression of that inner self.
I want you to imagine that the younger version of you then starts laughing and dancing and moving around with joy.
Just watch them move.
See the happiness on their face.
The pure expression of joy.
And then,
When they're done,
They come back over to you.
I want you to imagine that you give them another big hug and tell them,
You deserve to live as your authentic self.
You deserve to dress and present in the way that feels just right to you.
You deserve to be you.
And just when they form a huge smile on their face,
Imagine that you switch perspectives so that you are now the young version of you,
Being hugged by the older version of you.
I want you to imagine that invitation to be yourself in your body.
Imagine you are wearing those clothes and you have that hairstyle.
Imagine that inner self is expressed exactly the way that feels just right.
And then imagine that your physical body is also a perfect match for your soul self.
I want you to feel the joy of just being you,
Your aligned,
Authentic self.
And I want you to dance with joy.
Move around,
Sing,
Play,
Skip with bliss and happiness.
Feel what it feels like to have a body,
Clothing,
And hair that feels right for who you are in your deepest heart and soul.
Feel that joy pouring out of you as you move.
And then move towards the older version of you.
Imagine that they hug you and they whisper something in your ear.
Feel it in your body as they say it.
You deserve to be you.
You deserve to be the most pure and authentic version of you,
Whether that's a boy,
A girl,
Non-binary,
Or anything that just feels right.
Your inner you deserves to be set free because you are amazing and wonderful.
And being you is a gift to the world.
Then I want you to imagine they hug you one more time,
And as they do,
Your two bodies merge into one in a burst of magic.
You reintegrate the childhood you and the adult you and become the sum of both parts,
Fully and completely whole.
Feel that integration.
Feel yourself whole.
Good.
Now,
Breathe in,
Hold it,
And breathe out.
Wonderful.
And now I want you to feel in your body what it feels like to hold that wisdom of inner knowing,
The sense that you can be full of you,
And also the feeling like your adult you will be there,
A loving and caring presence that will protect the inner child.
Your adult will give them the space to play,
The space to express authentically.
Both of those parts of you are important for the whole.
The ability to fully be you and the safety to know that you will be okay being full.
Good.
Now,
I want to bring you back into your body.
I'm going to count from five to one,
And when I get to one,
We're going to come back to waking consciousness.
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Wake up.
