This is a guided meditation for healing parental wounds and releasing burdens.

Find a quiet,

Comfortable place to sit or lie down,

Where you won't be disturbed.

Close your eyes gently and begin to focus on your breathing.

Inhale deeply through your nose,

Allowing your lungs to fill completely.

And exhale slowly through your mouth.

Do it again.

With each exhale,

Feel yourself becoming more grounded,

More present in your body.

As you continue to breathe and allowing it to go deep,

Bring your attention to the points where your body connects with the ground or a chair.

Imagine roots growing from your body,

Sinking deep into the earth,

Giving you strength and stability.

With every breath,

Feel more connected to the earth beneath you,

Safe and grounded.

Now imagine a warm,

Gentle light beginning to grow in your chest,

Right at the center of your heart.

This light is soft,

It's healing,

And it's full of love.

As you breathe in,

The light expands,

Filling your chest.

As you breathe out,

It spreads to the rest of your body,

Bringing warmth and comfort to every part of you.

With this light within you,

Allow it to surround you.

And then turn your attention to any emotional weight you might be carrying from your relationship with your mother or your father.

Don't force anything.

Simply allow these feelings to surface and acknowledge their presence.

This weight might feel like a burden you've carried for a long time,

But now is the time to release it,

Piece by piece.

Now imagine that each emotional burden you carry takes the form of a stone within your body.

You may not know exactly where each stone is located,

But trust that they are there,

Waiting to be released.

Now focus on one stone at a time.

Feel where the first one is located within you,

If it's in your heart,

Your shoulders,

Your stomach or somewhere else.

Picture the stone clearly in your mind,

A heavy,

Dark stone representing old pain,

Fear,

Sorrow or sadness.

Allow your warm healing light within you to surround this stone.

And with each breath,

The light softens the area around the stone,

Preparing it for release.

As you breathe in,

Feel the light wrapping around the stone.

As you breathe out,

Imagine the stone slowly lifting from your body,

Being drawn out by your breath.

With each exhale,

The stone grows lighter and begins to dissolve.

See it rise up,

Disappearing in the air,

Leaving only lightness and space behind in you.

As the burden lifts,

Feel the healing energy filling the space it once occupied.

You have now created room within yourself for peace,

Self-love and freedom.

Now focus on the next stone.

Breathe in around it.

Feel it softening,

Preparing to release.

And when you exhale,

Visualize the stone leaving your body.

Continue this process with each stone in your body right now,

Focusing on one at a time.

Take your time with each stone,

Releasing them one by one,

And allowing your body to grow lighter and freer with each exhale of each stone.

You might find stones in your throat,

Representing words left unsaid.

Or you might find stones in your shoulders,

Where you've carried the weight of past expectations.

You may feel stones in your chest,

Where love was withheld.

Or maybe in your stomach,

Where fear and anxiety have settled.

Wherever they are,

Let the healing light work to soften and release them.

Now bring your attention to your relationship with either your mother or your father.

Visualize your parents standing before you.

You can see them,

But there's a distance between you.

This distance is a boundary,

A protective space that keeps you safe.

You are in control of this space and they cannot cross it.

You are safe.

They stand far away from you and you are completely out of their reach.

This boundary is firm,

Unbreakable,

And filled with the same healing light that surrounds you.

You are protected.

No matter what their presence once meant in your life,

They no longer have any power over you.

You are free from their influence.

As you stand in this space of safety,

Say to yourself,

I release the pain of my past.

I release the burdens my parents may have caused.

I am free,

Whole,

And ready to move forward.

Feel the power of this release.

The distance between you and your parent is clear and firm,

Allowing you to heal and grow without being affected by their past actions.

This is your space,

Your freedom,

And your healing.

Now shift your focus to gratitude.

You have taken steps to release what no longer serves you.

Thank yourself for the strength to face and release these burdens.

Feel grateful for the healing that has already begun and for the space you have created within yourself for love and joy.

So the gratitude is towards yourself for doing this for you.

Take a few more deep calming breaths.

As you inhale,

Feel your body fill with light.

As you exhale,

Anchor this sense of healing and release into your being.

Let go of any images,

Pictures,

Memories,

Trauma.

Let go of your parents.

Choose to have only gratitude.

Also gratitude for what you've learned.

And gratitude for the love that was there in the sense it was able to.

And when you're ready,

Gently begin to bring your awareness back to the room you're in.

Wiggle your fingers and toes.

Stretch if you need to.

And slowly open your eyes.

Carry this sense of peace,

Protection and freedom with you.

Knowing that the past no longer holds you back.

You are free to create your future.

Grounded in your own strength and light.

Return to this meditation as often as you need it.
