Let this quote be your beacon of guidance as we embark on a journey to cultivate optimism.
Studies have shown that those who are optimistic tend to thrive even if achievement is not the goal.
Looking at life through a lens of hope will help soften the aspects of life that are not within your control.
Optimism helps to simply feel good.
Since you have chosen this meditation,
You may be someone who feels drawn to exploring optimism.
Now is a playful time to welcome in this mindset as you set your intention for the day.
Settle and get comfortable,
Seated or lying down,
And let your body do what it needs to right now.
Open your mind to the possibilities of the present moment.
Take a deep breath,
Filling your lungs with a refreshing and invigorating energy.
And then exhale through your mouth,
Making a sigh and seeing if the sound helps to release any tension or negativity you may be carrying.
Feel your body becoming lighter with each breath,
Shedding the weight of concerns that pop up at the start of a new day.
With each inhale,
Imagine you are drawing in a bright golden light that symbolizes optimism and hope.
Feel this light infusing your body,
Mind,
And spirit,
Energizing you from within.
As you exhale,
Cast away any doubts or worries,
Allowing them to dissolve into the air.
Now bring your attention to your body as you feel the warm gentle glow of sunlight shining upon you.
This light is the embodiment of optimism and as it touches your head,
Envision it melting away any clouds of negativity or self-doubt.
Feel this radiant light move down over your face,
Relaxing your facial muscles and bringing a sense of calm.
Let it cascade down your neck and shoulders,
Releasing any tension.
With each breath,
This golden light spreads further like a soothing wave of positivity.
As the sunlight reaches your chest,
Feel your heart opening to the warmth of optimism.
Continue to bathe in this nurturing glow as it flows over your arms all the way to your fingertips.
Feel your limbs becoming lighter and freer as if floating in warm water.
Breathe in deeply,
Absorbing the brightness of this moment.
As the sunlight reaches your abdomen and lower back,
Your body becomes a canvas painted with the hues of optimism.
Each breath adding depth to the colors of positivity.
Let this light continue to flow down your legs all the way to your toes until your entire body is drenched in the brilliance of optimism and you feel its energy pulsating within you.
Now let's take a journey deeper within.
Imagine yourself in a place where optimism thrives.
This is your happy place,
A space where anything could happen.
In this place,
You always feel a sense of joy and hope.
Take a moment to explore using all your senses.
Observe the colors and textures around you.
Notice the details that bring a smile to your face.
Experience everything fully.
Perhaps this is where your mind has gone throughout your life when in need of a dreamy escape.
Or perhaps this place is something you just imagined and you revel in its newness.
Breathe in deeply and notice the aroma.
Is it the sweet perfume of blooming flowers,
The freshness of air after rain brings the smell of petrichor,
The salty air of the seaside,
Or the comforting rich aroma of a forest?
Or does this place smell like home or somewhere you enjoyed a vacation to get far away from the familiar?
Allow these scents to uplift your spirit.
Take a few moments to bask in the comforts of this happy place.
As you do,
These affirmations set the intention for your day.
I choose to embrace optimism.
I choose to see the possibilities in every situation.
Come back to the present moment,
Fluttering open your eyes as you remember that optimism is a choice.
And today,
