Hello and welcome.

Thank you for joining me today for this guiding healing meditation.

This body scan meditation can be used for emotional or physical healing.

In other words,

It's a healing for body and mind.

Body scan meditations are often best performed lying down.

But if you prefer to do this one seated,

That's okay.

Just make sure that you are comfortable and warm for the duration of the meditation.

Now just taking in some deep breaths.

Inhaling through the nose.

And exhaling through the mouth.

Nice and slowly.

Inhaling through the nose.

And exhaling through the mouth.

Nice and slowly.

Best not be in any rush for the exhalation.

Just let the breath come out nice and slowly and evenly.

Breathing deeply in this way,

The body becomes relaxed very quickly and the mind begins to settle.

So just continue to breathe deeply in this way as you're listening to my voice.

And just letting go of any stress that's held in the body,

Any tension,

Any aches,

Any pains.

And just bringing the mind into the breath so the active mind is just starting to become still.

Just continue to breathe in this way whilst listening to my voice.

If at any point during this meditation your mind wanders,

That's no problem.

Just steer your mind back to my voice.

This may happen several times,

But it's not a problem.

At the point you notice your mind has wandered,

Just simply smile and bring it back to the voice again.

Now just imagining that there's a golden,

Gentle flow of light coming into the top of your crown.

Just passing over the top of your head.

Just passing over the top of your head.

Like a gentle waterfall.

It's golden,

Healing sunlight.

And you can just feel it seeping into the top of your scalp.

Into your skin and pores.

And it's just coming down over the top of your crown of your head.

Into your forehead.

Coming down the sides and back of your head.

And as it passes,

Everything softens and eases.

And as this sunlight passes down over your eyes,

You feel your eyes drop and relax.

Coming down over your nose,

Your cheekbones,

Into the back of your head and everything is just relaxing.

Everything is easing and beginning to heal.

We can feel our jawbone,

Our teethbone,

Just dropping,

Softening and relaxing.

And down into the bones at the back of the head.

Everything is just basked in this sunlight.

And now we just feel a sense of all negative thoughts leaving us.

Any problems,

Any challenges,

Any difficulties are just washed away in the golden sunlight.

And wherever this sunlight passes,

It is absorbed deeply and has a healing impact.

And now the sunlight continues on its way down into the neck,

To the front of the neck.

And we can feel this golden light coming into the shoulders.

And we can feel the long muscles of the shoulders just easing,

Just letting go.

We're getting a sense of this light going on a journey,

A healing quest.

It's healing our bones,

Our cells,

Our blood.

And everywhere it passes,

Deep relaxation takes place.

And now the light continues down the chest and the back.

It comes down into the sternum,

It spreads out into the ribs,

Just healing everywhere it goes.

It comes down into the stomach and it makes its way down the broad of our back at the top.

It whirlwinds just slowly and gently down the rope of our spine.

And then spreads out across all the vertebrae,

All the bones,

Right down to the lower back.

And it heals all the internal organs in this process.

Everything is basked in this light.

The hearts,

The lungs,

The kidneys,

All opening up now to receive the healing sunlight.

And it passes now down into the hips,

Into the tops of the thighs.

And it passes down,

Healing and relaxing on its journey into the knees.

We can feel it tingling in the backs of our thighs.

And it now seeps down into the calf muscles,

Carrying on its way into the ankles.

And filtering now into the toes and the feet.

And every bone in the body now is starting to feel lighter,

To feel regenerated.

And all our cells feel transformed.

And all our organs renewed.

And all our negative thoughts and feelings just washed away in the golden light.

And now just focus your attention on the heart.

And imagine that the golden light now is operating from the heart.

And spreading out into all areas of the body.

With each pulse of the heart,

The golden light gets stronger.

And it filters its healing rays to every part of the body.

And now you can feel totally and completely glowing in the golden healing light.

And now the golden light has permeated every area of your body and your mind.

And now you are at peace.

You are healthy.

You are happy.

And you are absorbed in the golden light.

Now just lie for a moment,

Engulfed in this golden light.

It's just seeking out any tensions in the body and healing them.

Any stress,

Any area that needs healed.

It's filtering its way all through your body.

And now you are aglow with healing light.

When you come out of this meditation,

You'll feel refreshed.

You'll feel light and relaxed and happy.

Now let's just take a couple of deep breaths.

Coming back into the breath.

Just following the breath coming into the nostrils and out slowly through the mouth.

In through the nostrils and out slowly through the mouth.

Just getting a sense now of coming back into a normal waking state.

Just wriggling your toes a little.

Moving your hands.

And just noticing the sensation of healing that's taken place.

Just remain in your position for a few moments.

Basking in the healing rays that you've just experienced.

And when you are ready,

Just simply go about your day.
