Hello,
Sweet friend.
It's time to get very cozy,
Very comfortable,
And very ready for sleep.
Tonight,
We are going to gently float all the way into dreamland.
Snuggle into your bed,
And let your body get heavy and soft.
Dust your pillow,
And pull up your blanket,
And gently close your eyes.
Take a slow breath in through your nose,
And let it slowly fall out through your mouth.
Again,
Slow breath in,
And slow breath out.
Good.
Your body is already beginning to relax.
Now imagine your body getting softer,
Little by little.
Let your forehead smooth out.
Let your jaw get loose and relaxed.
Let your shoulders melt down into your bed,
And feel your arms getting heavy,
And your belly soft,
And your legs warm and relaxed.
Your whole body is getting ready for sleep.
Now imagine something very gentle happening.
Your bed is becoming soft like a cloud,
Soft,
Fluffy,
And cozy,
And very slowly,
Your cloud bed begins to float.
Soft,
Not fast,
Not high,
Just a slow,
Gentle float.
You are completely safe.
Your blanket is snug.
Your body is heavy and relaxed,
As your cloud drifts through the quiet night sky.
As you float,
You might notice soft,
Twinkling stars nearby.
They glow gently,
Like tiny night lights just for you.
The air is calm.
The night is quiet.
Your breathing is slow and easy.
With every soft breath out,
Your cloud floats a little closer to dreamland,
And closer,
And closer to the place where the sweetest dreams live.
Now your cloud begins to gently drift downward,
Slowly,
Softly,
And peacefully.
Your body feels very heavy,
Very warm,
And very sleepy.
If your eyes want to stay closed,
That's perfect.
If your body wants to be very still,
That's perfect too.
You are floating,
And drifting,
And resting,
All the way into dreamland.
There's nothing you need to do now.
Nothing to figure out.
Nothing to hold.
Just float,
And rest,
And sleep.
Sweet dreams,
Little one.
