
A Self Love Meditation

This meditation focuses on the greatest love we will ever encounter in our lives: the love of SELF. Self-love is important as it affords us the opportunity to love others. Without the love and appreciation of self, we can not effectively love and appreciate others.
Transcript
And now it's time for inner peace.
Peace and welcome to this week's meditation on self love.
This week,
I want us to focus on loving ourselves more and just appreciating the person that we are and have become regardless of our lives and setbacks,
Where we think we should be,
Because we are exactly where we are supposed to be.
I would ask that you find yourself a comfortable sitting position or a comfortable lying position.
You may use a meditation cushion or sit somewhere comfortably as long as you are comfortable and it's completely pain free.
If you choose to lie down,
Please try to stay awake for the meditation as we want to go inward and focus on ourselves.
Take your time now to find your space.
Let's begin by relaxing ourselves and becoming aware of the present moment.
I would ask that you bring your awareness to the top of your head.
Gently close your eyes and consciously begin releasing any tension.
Now bring your awareness to your forehead,
Your face,
Releasing any tension and allowing it to just relax.
Let your mouth and your jaw relax naturally without any effort.
Notice how it finds its perfect position.
Not clenched,
Not tight,
Not wide open.
Now bring your awareness to your neck and your chest and shoulders,
Your upper back area.
Allow this area to drop.
Bring your awareness into your biceps,
Your elbows,
Forearms,
Your wrists and your hands all the way down to your fingertips,
Releasing all tension.
Now bring your awareness to your heart center,
Your upper abdomen,
Your lower abdomen and your lower back.
Let's pause for a moment and take a deep breath in.
And when you get to the top of that breath,
Release.
Now bring your awareness back to your pelvic area,
Your hips and your thighs consciously releasing all tension you may be holding within your body.
Bring your awareness to your knees,
Your shins and calves,
Your ankles and your feet,
Allowing your full body to relax.
I will leave you here for about a minute,
Focusing on the relaxation of your entire body.
Take a deep cleansing breath and let's take a moment to appreciate and acknowledge being present.
Now,
Let's work our way to love.
What is the reason that you forget to love yourself?
Let's try to forget about it.
Let's try to reset what you think you know and start again from scratch.
Enjoy these next few moments as a complete moment of freedom.
When you come out of this meditation,
Your mind will be lighter,
Free from all negative thoughts,
Ready to get nourished with some positive vibes for a new dose of real,
Profound,
Grounding trust of yourself.
I would ask that you keep in mind that love is not something you have to look for.
No,
This is something that is inherent inside each of you,
Hidden from a surface made up of worries,
Schedules,
Social masks and a wrong negative conception of yourself.
You just have to release some love and allow it to shine and lead you.
What you have to look for is the perfect combination of your body and soul.
A balanced,
Serene mood and attitude that feels like you're preparing a fertile soil to grow amazing,
Beautiful flowers as divine insights from a higher and more caring version of yourself.
This is the day and the time to let your walls down.
And please show up with no defenses,
Just wide open with an open heart.
Take a long,
Deep breath in and a long,
Deep breath out.
Listen to the sound of your breathing becoming heavier and heavier at every breath you take.
Use this current moment to focus on your emotion and analyze how you feel.
Focus on your breath to create a regular,
Soft and intimate environment to cultivate a new,
Improved,
Mindful and open mindset.
The sound of your breath with its vibrational frequency will show up and it will spread all over your body,
Nourishing at a different stage,
A much deeper level.
Release any senses of discomfort.
Of loneliness,
Of insecurity.
Experience the present moment.
It is time to heal.
Heal your emotional wounds,
Feeling grateful just for being you once again.
I would ask that you focus on one particular thought.
Let's think about the one thing you truly love about yourself.
I'm going to leave you here,
Focusing on that image in your mind's eye for about a minute.
Take a deep breath in and smile quietly to yourself.
Practice kindness and being your own friend and exhale out with a sigh.
Do this with love,
With loving,
Caring gestures a little bit every day.
Explore your mind,
Your emotions and how you really feel.
Acknowledge it and keep things going.
This is not a race,
Though.
This is not a challenge.
This is the time of your life to reconnect with your true higher self.
This is your time to spread your wings and soar higher than before,
Stronger than before,
Better than before.
Take a deep breath in and visualize a door with you exhaling.
Try to open the door with all your energy,
Your power,
Your new confidence and your love of self.
See the light waiting for you on the other side of that door.
This is the warm wave of love that you deserve for who you really are.
Your inner magic that you often try to hide.
It's now ready to spread all over your life and to be shared with others who encounter you on a daily basis.
I would ask you that for the next few moments,
You try to connect to that magical light that's within.
And I want you to enjoy every single ray you see.
Feel it all over your face,
Your heart,
Your spirit.
I Take a deep breath in,
Filling your entire body.
With air,
When you can take in no more air,
Exhale it fully and completely out.
Now I would ask that you rub your hands together and generate a little heat between them.
Once they are warm,
I would ask that you put them over your eyes.
Take these last few moments to acknowledge the beauty that is you.
To bring that light,
That magic that you are into your daily life.
I want you to see yourself vibrating higher,
Being at complete peace with where you are in your life and happy that you get to live this life.
When you are ready,
You may put your hands down and gently open your eyes.
I hope you find as much value in yourself as I find in you.
May this day bring you all that your heart desires and that you deserve.
