This dream meditation and visualization offers the meditator a “visioning” experience, to allow greater fluidity into the dream state. It first helps to free the body of holding patterns, mindfully bringing focus into the present moment, then allows the meditator to let go of any disturbances before visioning begins. Listeners will experience a relaxed rhythm and see the blossoming of what they would like to create before them. A mantra meditation encourages “creativity within stillness.”

Before we begin,

Let's take a moment to focus on where you are right now.

The room you're in,

Its contents that draw your attention,

Perhaps focusing on one object in particular.

Notice its color,

Texture,

Brightness.

How far away is it?

Is it nearby?

Does it have edges,

Or is it softer?

Focusing in this way will help bring your attention in to the present moment.

Good.

Now shift.

Shift your focus to you.

What sensations are within you?

How do you feel right now?

Take note of anything your senses are taking in right now.

Just observe and notice.

Is any part of you tense or holding on to something?

If so,

Try to soften those areas.

What emotions do you feel are present?

Perhaps a carryover from your day,

Just beneath the surface sensations.

Do you feel anxious,

Sad,

Angry,

Tired but wound up,

Numb?

Or do you feel well?

Just feel,

Accept,

And release anything you no longer need to carry in this moment.

If you feel numbness,

Just allow it to be there.

Then let it go to the best of your ability.

Let's hone in a little more.

Do you feel grateful for the events of the day?

Disappointed about something?

Whatever comes up,

Simply acknowledge the feelings that are within you,

Knowing you can choose to release them and let them pass through you now,

The way the wind passes through the trees,

And not hold on any further as you let the day go.

Whatever it is or was,

Whether pleasant or unpleasant,

This is a new moment and it's time for new beginnings as you segue into sleep.

Release it all now.

You can revisit any of the feelings or thoughts you have another time if you wish to,

But for now,

Just whoosh,

Be free of attachments.

As you choose to do this,

Breathe deeply and let out a sound using the vowel a.

Breathe in deeply again.

Now consider what you would like to dream about tonight.

We are all conscious creators of our world during the day,

And as we sleep,

We have an opportunity to do that too.

Our dream states may help us carry our visions forward in our lives,

Visions you can see in your mind's eye now,

Before sleep.

Consider the object you first looked at when we began.

Whoever invented it had to once dream of its existence.

So whether it's in a daydream or night dream,

Everything we see in our world was first imagined.

And you can begin to set up an ideal dreamscape as you fall asleep that may encourage the beginnings of a new experience for you,

As a new dream finds its way to you.

So tonight,

What would you like to see happen in your world tomorrow?

This week?

This year?

Visualize what you would like to create in your life now,

With detail.

What would it be?

Perhaps it's a new experience,

Or a new connection,

Or a new place.

Who are you speaking to?

Would you like to change anything you felt in your physical body,

In your emotions?

See things changing in the direction you'd prefer tomorrow.

See it going just as you'd like it to.

Set that intention now.

Is it a blissful event?

A harmonious connection with a loved one?

Are you surrounded by beauty?

Zone in now,

And see the scene vividly in your mind's eye.

Now let the impression linger.

Breathe in the peace and joy of the scene you'd like to experience.

Let everything go smoothly,

Beautifully,

Just as you'd like it to.

Good.

Release your vision now.

Whatever you've witnessed in your mind's eye.

Thanking the universe for accepting your vision and holding it for you,

Nurturing it for you while you sleep.

Simply release now.

It will be there for you to revisit again.

You may revisit it tomorrow night and refine your vision then and offer it to the universe again in the nights to come.

You may also hold your vision for a few moments when you go to sleep tonight.

And whoosh,

Let it go.

Now let's take a few moments to allow the satisfying dream vision you've just created to flower on its own with a mantra meditation to encourage the spirit of creativity to live within you always.

Close your eyes and breathe deeply.

Our mantra is,

Shivo Hum,

Which means my awareness is pure creative stillness.

Let's begin.

Shivo Hum.

Shivo Hum.

Shivo Hum.

Shivo Hum.

Shivo Hum.

Shivo Hum.

Shivo Hum.

Shivo Hum.

Shivo Hum.

Shivo Hum.

Shivo Hum.

Continue as long as you wish,

And enjoy.
