This will be a short meditation to invite your awareness to untangle from the conditioned,
Untethered turning of your mind and your thoughts to instead rest in the spaciousness of the heart.
So ultimately,
A simple meditation to build presence in the heart and open ourselves to the force of love that is always and already just here.
Please take a moment to simply find a seat that feels really nourishing to you.
Any seat where you can be comfortable and allow the spine to be effortlessly uplifted,
Where you can be easy for a moment and relaxed.
Once you've found that seat,
Allow yourself to really settle down and in.
Allow your eyes to close.
Place one hand over your heart and the other hand over that and just feel the touch of your hands on your chest.
Relax your jaw completely.
Begin to allow your awareness to trickle from the turning of thoughts from the place in the head down into land and pool in the space of the heart.
Allow yourself for a moment to simply experience the beat of your physical heart in your chest.
And with an easy effort,
Allow yourself to experience the gentle rise and fall of your breath beneath the palms of your hands in the space of the chest,
In the space of the heart.
And know that you may have to invite your awareness a hundred times in this short meditation from the turning of the untethered conditioned thoughts down into the vast expanse of your unbound heart.
And that's normal.
Knowing that every time you invite your awareness back,
Just know that your capacity for presence and your heart grows a little stronger.
Just allow yourself to experience the sensation of breath in the heart space.
Allowing your breath to remain soft and easy.
Relax your jaw again and again and see if you can allow your inner ears to become soft and wide and receptive so that you can listen to the very gentle whisper of your breath rising and falling in the space of your chest.
Start this soft easy whisper of the breath in the heart space.
Experience the genesis of the breath right in the very center of your heart center.
And as you allow the inhale,
Receive the inhale,
Allow it to radiate in all directions like the sun.
Extensive,
Nourishing feeling.
And then as you exhale,
Simply allow all of your presence and your awareness to soften and settle back into the center of the seat of the heart.
So as you inhale from the center of the heart center,
A radiance that is vast and all-encompassing.
And as you exhale,
A soft settling back into the center of the seat of the heart.
And again inviting the mind to the breath,
The breath to the heart.
And now please at the bottom of each and every exhale,
In that place where the breath stands still,
Allow a little space to open up.
A moment of breathlessness.
Moment where you can rest on that pure impulse of your unbound heart.
Notice how that impulse gives rise to the next inhale and draws you all the way back on your next exhale.
So you just take a moment to linger in the space between breaths and the quietude and the stillness of your unbound heart.
With a soft listening both to the winds of your heart and the whispers of your breath and also to that deep impulse in the silence beyond the breath.
Listening beyond thought,
Beyond ideas,
Beyond words,
Just open yourself up to experience the breath and the heart and then that spacious expanse beyond even the breath.
And from deep within the wellspring of your heart,
From deep within that unyielding impulse of the heart to constantly give life to love.
Allow your heart to lift and allow your head to bow.
And as if you could receive the world into the eyes of your heart,
Allow your eyes to open softly.
And from here,
You can move on about your day.
