Welcome,
Lovely soul!
Today I want to share a small detail that can make chanting the bija mantra LAM for your muladhara chakra even more powerful.
It's a simple hand gesture,
A mudra,
That helps you feel more grounded and safe.
Let's explore how to use it while chanting.
Sometimes when we chant the bija mantra LAM,
It already feels grounding and strong.
But there's actually a little detail that can make it even more powerful.
A hand gesture called a mudra.
It's super simple.
You might have heard different things about which mudra to use for the muladhara chakra.
And that's totally normal,
Because there isn't just one right way.
Some teachers recommend touching your thumb and little finger together.
That's called varuna mudra,
And it's linked to the water element,
Helping with emotional balance and flow.
But many people also find it grounding,
Especially if emotions feel overwhelming.
Other traditions suggest bringing your thumb and ring finger together,
Which is known as prithvi mudra.
This one is very traditional for the muladhara chakra,
Because it connects to the earth element and helps create a feeling of stability and grounding.
So there's not just one correct mudra for this chakra.
Both are beautiful,
And both can help you feel safe and centered.
I encourage you to try each one and see which feels best for you.
Let's practice the version where the thumb and the little finger touch.
Sit comfortably,
Bring your thumb and little finger together,
And let's chant LAM three times together.
Take a deep inhale.
Feel how the vibration travels through your body,
And notice how your hands help you stay focused and connected to the earth beneath you.
It's almost like the mudra amplifies the sound and directs it right into your root chakra.
Let's try it once again for three more LAM.
Take a deep inhale.
Whenever you feel scared or anxious,
You can try this little combo.
The mudra plus LAM chanting to bring yourself back into a place of calm and safety.
So that's my tip for today.
Simple,
Right?
I hope you'll give it a try next time you're chanting LAM.
Let me know how it feels for you.
