Remember The Little One Within
by Monika Zands
Open your heart, find yourself connecting deep to the earth, allowing yourself to be grounded, held and supported. Take some time with your little one within. How do you see the world? What are you looking for? What are you a part of? Find yourself and enter the preciousness of time with little you.
Transcript
Allowing yourself to get comfortable,
Noticing the experience of having something support you underneath your back or your bottom as you sit or as you lie wherever you may be.
Taking a deep,
Slow breath in through your nose.
Hold at the top for three,
Two,
One,
And release.
And we're going to join together and do this a couple of times.
Taking a deep breath in through your nose and hold three,
Two,
One,
And release.
Slowly.
That's right.
Now as we take these breaths together,
What we want to begin to do is allow our focus to go to our breath.
Our breath is something that will help us ground,
Center,
Allowing our mind to quiet.
Imagine that you have an ability to take your hand and turn a dial down in your mind so that the volume gets low and the ability to focus on your heart gets high.
So moving your breath and attention into your heart space.
Go ahead and do that now,
Noticing what it feels like to breathe into your heart.
And breathe in now.
Allowing the expansiveness around the chest and the heart to seep in through your cells.
And let that breath out.
Let's do that again together.
Breathing in through your nose,
Allowing the expansiveness around your heart to be felt and noticed and out through your mouth.
The intention of today's meditation is to center yourself in peacefulness.
So imagine a clear,
Beautiful,
White,
Brilliant sun shining from above you.
Just casting its rays upon your face.
As you allow your eyelids to gently flutter shut,
Experience that feeling that you've had oh so many times,
Whether on a beach or on a walk,
In a park,
In the forest.
Feeling that heat upon the crown of your head,
Upon your face,
On your throat,
In your body,
On your chest.
Just imagining it like an egg cracking on your head and pouring and filling you down your body.
The warmth of the day,
The warmth of the knowing that you are safe,
That you are protected,
That you are in peace.
Allow that light to pour in through every cell in your body.
Down your arms and out your fingertips.
Through every cell in your body.
Down your body,
Your hips,
Your legs,
Your knees,
Your calves and shins,
And out your toes.
Connecting you to the center of the earth.
Imagine a clear,
Beautiful,
Golden cord coming from your root chakra and your sacral,
The low back,
Winding itself into the center of the earth and grounding you tightly there.
And imagine a beautiful golden thread up into the heavens above,
Connecting you into the skies and into the heavens,
Allowing you to be grounded in the middle and bring your attention into your heart space.
Remembering to breathe as you go through this process and noticing the experience of being held,
The experience of being cuddled,
Hugged.
For some of us,
We are isolated and alone in this time,
And for some of us,
We're surrounded by people that we love.
Wherever you are,
Whatever your circumstances may be,
Imagine being held,
Being hugged,
Being loved.
I want you to imagine you as a young child.
Look down at your feet and imagine wiggling your toes,
Their little,
Teeny,
Sweet little feet.
And imagine them standing in the dirt.
Your feet grounded to the earth,
Allowing the experience of Mother Earth to guide you,
To hold you,
To connect with you.
This is your time.
Imagine you look out into the world around you.
It's big and bright,
Full of possibility.
You know that you are going to take this day.
You're going to play.
You're going to laugh.
You're going to dance.
You're going to create.
You're going to connect.
You're going to be the great version,
The aspiring astronaut,
The beautiful dancer,
The creative artist,
The bright singer,
The intelligent genius.
Whatever it is that is your childhood dream,
I want you to imagine that now.
We're back to that time when you could do anything,
When the world was your oyster,
When everything was possible.
And I want you to reflect for a moment on what it is that you would do as a child.
What did you do for fun?
What did you do that lightened your spirit?
Imagine that now and see yourself doing it.
Did you love to color,
Draw,
Paint?
Did you paint with a brush or your hands?
Did you love to dance?
Did you love to play a sport?
Just see yourself doing that now.
Bask in the memory.
Bask in your laughter.
Color yourself small,
Open,
Bright-eyed,
Ready to take on any day.
And take a deep breath in again,
Opening your heart space and allowing your little one to feel the love you have for them.
Pouring tenderness,
Nurturing,
Nourishing,
And kindness towards your little one.
Knowing that you have what you need to be able to do what you wish to do.
That's right.
Very good.
You're doing a beautiful job.
Taking another deep breath in and thanking yourself for having that memory,
For connecting to the little one inside.
You can do that as often as you'd like each day,
Maybe one time a day.
You take on the practice of connecting to them,
To loving them,
To holding them,
To reminding them how precious and loved they are.
Taking another deep breath in and bringing your awareness back into your own body,
Back to you.
Allowing yourself to know who you are,
To remember who you were,
To connect to both the you now and the you then.
And allowing whatever that memory was and whatever that memory brought forward to connect to you now.
And allowing that to guide your day.
Who will you be today?
What will you do today?
What will you add to your day to be able to allow yourself to be the creative expression that you are?
Giving yourself full permission to be what you are,
To do what you wish to do,
To acknowledge yourself for who you are.
Allowing yourself to rise into the preciousness that you are.
And in so doing,
Allowing yourself to feel the nourishment,
The peace,
The peace of mind,
The knowing that you're okay,
That you're held.
That in this world as we go through this together,
You're not alone.
Even if your physical body is in one place with you,
You're not alone.
You're here with people,
Other souls,
As light bearers,
As love bearers,
As creativity bearers.
Doing what we can into the world to support each other and to support ourselves.
As you go inside and take time to be tender with you,
So too does your energy emanate out into the world and support others.
Know yourself.
Love yourself.
Take another deep breath in with me together.
And notice how you feel on the inside and release.
In these times,
It's time to notice and observe more than it is to get stuck in the thoughts.
Be in action.
Do things that you need to do.
Sit with yourself and imagine the day that you would design perfectly.
And then go about your day taking action on that day.
And have moments in your day where either you set a reminder or you remind yourself to drink water,
To smell something sweet,
To taste something sweet,
To remember that you are taken care of and held,
That you are a precious child of the universe.
Another deep breath in through your mouth,
Out through your mouth.
Knowing you are whole,
You are complete.
Imagining 100% radiant health,
Whether you are healthy or not,
Imagining yourself healthy.
Knowing yourself to be healed,
Whole and complete.
Then with one last deep breath in,
Hold it at the top and slowly and gently release.
Very good.
And fluttering your eyelids open,
Looking at yourself in the moment that you're in.
Knowing that I acknowledge you for being here,
For participating in this moment,
For knowing yourself,
For finding the peace within yourself.
Acknowledging yourself for being alive,
Refreshed,
Rejuvenated and peaceful in this moment.
I will be here every morning,
Monday through Friday,
7 a.
M.
Pacific Standard Time,
10 a.
M.
Eastern Time to acknowledge you,
To be with you,
To hold you.
And together we put our hands together,
Bow our heads,
Knowing the light in me honors and acknowledges the light in you.
And together we say Namaste.
Thank you for being here today.
I love you all.
Be still,
Be powerful,
Be peaceful today and spread it out into your world.
I'll see you tomorrow.
