Welcome to this yoga nidra.

Find a comfortable lying position on your back with your arms and legs slightly apart.

Take a few moments to adjust your body and make sure you are completely comfortable.

Now close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth.

Let go of any tension or stress with each breath.

Inhale deeply and exhale completely.

Inhale deeply and exhale completely.

Continue breathing like this a few times until you feel completely relaxed and centered.

Now as you continue to breathe naturally,

Bring your awareness to the sensation of your body resting on the floor.

Feel the support beneath you.

Imagine the ground beneath you as solid and stable,

Like the foundation of a great mountain.

Now imagine a beautiful shimmering black tourmaline crystal.

See it in your mind's eye,

Glistening with dark energy and protection.

This crystal represents your inner strength and resilience.

Visualize this black tourmaline,

Shiny black and its protective energy.

Imagine this black tourmaline crystal slowly descending from above and gently hovering above your body.

It radiates a warm protective energy,

Putting you in a cocoon of safety and security.

Continue breathing as you feel the comforting energy of the black tourmaline crystal surrounding you.

As you lie here,

Allow any negative or unwanted energy to be drawn out of your body and into this black tourmaline crystal.

See this energy being absorbed by the crystal,

Leaving you feeling lighter and more at peace.

Take a moment to visualize this crystal absorbing any negativity,

Any tension,

Any stress from your body.

Now let's begin the rotation of consciousness.

I will guide you to different parts of your body.

As I mention each part,

Shift your awareness to that area and silently repeat the accompanying affirmation or sankalpa.

Feel free to adapt the affirmations if they would not resonate with you.

Make them your own.

Now bring your awareness to your right hand and repeat the affirmation.

I am open to receive positive energy and blessings.

Shift your awareness to your right forearm and affirm.

I release tension and embrace relaxation.

Bring your attention to your right upper arm and repeat.

I am strong and capable.

Now focus on your right shoulder and affirm.

I let go of burdens and find freedom.

I let go of burdens and find freedom.

Move your awareness to the right side of your chest and say.

I am filled with love and compassion.

I am filled with love and compassion.

Shift your attention to the left side of your chest and affirm.

I forgive myself and others.

I forgive myself and others.

Focus on your left shoulder and repeat.

I carry only what serves my highest good.

I carry only what serves my highest good.

Now bring your awareness to your left upper arm and affirm.

I am at peace with my inner strength.

I am at peace with my inner strength.

Shift your attention to your left forearm and say.

I release fear and embrace courage.

Finally focus on your left arm and hand and affirm.

I am open to the possibilities of the universe.

Take a moment to rest in the energy of the black tourmaline,

Feeling grounded,

Protected and aligned with your affirmation.

Continue to breathe deeply and slowly.

When you are ready to awaken,

Slowly begin to bring your awareness back to your breath.

Wiggle your fingers and your toes and gently stretch your body.

Open your eyes and return to the present moment and carry with you the strength,

Protection and positive intentions set during this practice.

Take your time to wake up completely and to return to your daily activities,

Knowing that you can revisit this visualization and affirmation practice anytime you need protection and grounding.
