New Beginnings New is something never before in existence,
Or something that is recently understood for the first time.
I considered how often we use the word new to identify events or situations.
New year,
New moon,
Turn over a new leaf,
A new attitude,
New day,
New lease on life,
A new start,
A new beginning.
I have recently encountered many news in my life and would like to pursue the concept of new beginning with you using meditation and Reiki energy.
When we begin anew,
We have closed out something in life.
One thing ends and we begin again.
This can be enveloped with joy and sometimes sadness,
But however it is perceived,
It happens constantly,
Even daily.
We often acknowledge the changes and new beginnings with large events,
A move,
The loss of a loved one,
A job shift,
The birth of a child,
A serious illness.
But I'd like to consider the small and subtle shifts like a new friendship,
Or perhaps going to a new gym,
Or in the events with regularity,
Routine.
Routine,
Such as the beginning of a new day.
Here we end our resting and our dreaming,
Or for some,
The sleeplessness and difficulty of the night.
But from any perspective,
We rise to meet a new day.
It's another new beginning.
How do you approach new beginnings?
Do you have a ritual?
Have you had an event recently which feels overwhelming to begin or end?
What do you do to diffuse the difficulty and assist yourself through the transition of this unexplored experience?
Rituals can be important to beginning a new phase.
Routines,
Or the shifting of schedules,
Or adding something new into the day.
After my father died,
I found myself connecting with greater measure,
With people in my life,
My friends and my relatives,
Somehow pursuing connection.
Perhaps I was providing myself with a replacement,
Or a comfort,
Or maybe a way of understanding and coming to terms with the concept of life,
As we know it,
Being finite.
Whatever it was,
It was a shift in my life,
A new existence without my parent.
And I had to create this way of being in the world,
In my new routine.
What is occurring in your life that feels like a new beginning?
Let's now accept in Reiki energy.
So breathe in,
Grounding yourself,
And release.
And let's today be open and accepting of Reiki healing energy as it comes down in to and through us,
Knowing no matter what our intentions,
That the Reiki energy will be here in guidance for our highest good.
Take a moment to focus in on any beginning occurring for you now.
And it could be just the shift of coming to listen to this energy.
And it could be just the shift of coming to listen to this meditation today,
Or perhaps embarking on a new journey with Reiki,
With meditation.
It could be pretty basic.
It could be right there in front of you,
This new thing.
Consider what that is for yourself.
Let's take a few moments in meditation,
Welcoming in the energy and making space within for the newness.
Use your own comfortable breathing cycles as we meditate.
But I will offer a few suggestions as we go.
Breathe in and expand your chest.
Breathe in and feel yourself opening up.
Breathe in and feel yourself making space within.
Breathe in and feel yourself making space within.
Perhaps there is a place within your body where you can feel,
See or locate this situation,
This new beginning.
If this feels difficult,
Just use your intuition and your intention to provide a place in your body.
Feel free to create an image or a set of words,
Phrases,
Or the simple acknowledgement of the new beginning that exists in this place.
Kansha Shtit.
Go-o-ha-ga-ma.
Hi-to-ni-shin-se-tsu-ni.
Just for today.
I will not anger.
I will not worry.
I will be grateful.
I will work with diligence.
I will be kind.
The five Reiki principles.
And now feel free to deepen your breath.
Continuing to create space within.
Re-ground yourself and prepare to open your eyes if they're closed.
Offer gratitude to yourself and to the Reiki energy.
Allow the thoughts of newness to remain present with you.
Or diffuse them.
Knowing and accepting new beginnings as a part of life.
Thank you so much for joining me.
May you journey toward peace.
