It can feel hard to keep up with everything that is going on in our world and at times we can feel too small to effect positive change. Facing all of the problems in the world can feel daunting and we can feel paralyzed and hopeless, feeling like nothing we have done or can do will put a dent in the troubles of our turbulent world. This is a short meditation to help remind you of how much your kind contributions matter.

Hi everyone.

I know right now it can feel hard to keep up with everything that's going on in our world,

And we can feel too small to affect change at times.

All of the world's problems can feel daunting,

And we can feel paralyzed and hopeless.

Feeling like nothing we have done or can do will even put a dent in the troubles of our turbulent world.

I want to remind you that small things matter.

You may not see the results of the ripples of your deeds,

Like a raindrop falling into a pond,

But I assure you all the seemingly small things you've done and will do matter.

Please find a comfortable position sitting or lying down,

And close your eyes if you feel comfortable,

Or simply let them go out of focus as you connect with your breath.

Feel the places in your body where you're holding on to tightness and breathe into those spaces.

Perhaps it's worry or fear around your heart or in your gut,

Or tension in your shoulders or neck or hands,

Like you're constantly bracing for impact.

Maybe it's unshed tears behind your eyes from holding on to grief and sorrow.

Let's just breathe together into those areas,

Trying to let a little of it go.

Above?

You Now I would like you to imagine you're holding an acorn in your hand Notice its golden brown color Feel the little bumps and bridges on its top little hat Feel the smoothness of the nut below One acorn can make hundreds of forests Just meditate on that for a moment as you hold this tiny acorn in the palm of your hand One acorn can make hundreds of forests Now I want you to think about the last nice thing that you did to try and help in the world Maybe you donated clothes or food Maybe you did a litter pick of your favorite green spaces Or maybe you protested for something you believe in Just think on that now Now I want you to imagine the seed you planted growing Imagine those ripples,

The ones that helped others or helped change hard hearts and minds Really see what your kind act did Imagine the differences it made in others lives Now I want you to think about the last nice thing that you did to try and help in the world Maybe you donated clothes or food Maybe you did a litter pick of your favorite green spaces Now I want you to think about the last nice thing that you did to try and help in the world Maybe you donated clothes or food Maybe you donated clothes or food Maybe you donated clothes or food Maybe you donated clothes or food Now slowly bring your attention back to your breath Breathing in slow deep breaths I want you to know small things matter Everything matters,

Everything you do matters Most importantly,

You matter Take a moment to think about what you would like to do in the future to reach out and help Your small act of kindness will always matter You will always be a part of the world You will always be a part of the world You will always be a part of the world Now slowly come back to your breath Feel the temperature of the air on your skin Feel the temperature of the air on your skin I'm wishing you love and light.

Please know dear one that you are a bright blessing in this world May your light shine brightly May your light shine brightly May your light shine brightly
