Hi,
This is Ori Krug,
Board-certified dance movement therapist and trauma and relationship expert.
Today,
I would love to guide you through a movement-based meditation on finding hope that you will find love again,
Especially after experiencing heartbreak.
When we experience heartbreak with someone that we really loved,
It can be hard to believe that we can ever find a good match for us again,
Or that we can ever feel this kind of love with someone else again.
I want to assure you that it is possible to find love again,
And I'd love to help you feel that,
Really feel and believe that in your body today.
To begin this meditation,
Find a position that feels supportive to you right now.
You may stand,
Sit,
Or lay down.
Once you settle into this position,
Let's take two deep breaths together.
Breathing in,
And breathing out.
Again,
Breathing in,
And breathing out.
You may close your eyes,
Or lower your gaze.
And I'd like to invite you now to think about or tune into a current relationship,
Or even a past relationship if that's not too painful.
But tune into a relationship that makes you feel so much love,
Or made you feel so much love.
When you think about that love,
Or visualize that love,
What comes up in your body right now?
What sensations do you feel?
You may feel lightness throughout your entire body.
You might feel tingles.
You might feel a buzzing energy that makes you want to jump and leap across the room.
Even if you aren't experiencing this kind of love in your life right now,
Try to focus on what it did feel like when you were in the midst of experiencing it so deeply.
And as you feel into these sensations,
I'd like to invite you to bring physical movement to these sensations.
For example,
If you felt an overall lightness in your body,
Can you invite light,
Airy movements that amplify this feeling of lightness?
If you felt a buzzing energy through your arms and your legs,
Can you move with even more buzz to amplify the sensation of love in your body?
Even if you don't have this kind of love in your life right now,
We are trying it on and playing and leading with curiosity.
Move with these sensations of love.
Let your body really guide you here on moving these sensations of love.
What does your body naturally want to do to embrace it and really feel it and celebrate it?
You may hear objections from your mind saying that you lost love,
You don't have it,
And you can't feel it right now.
But the truth is,
The love that you experience in any relationship happens inside of your body.
It is not something that is given to you.
Love is something that already exists in your body and is simply amplified by experiences,
Interactions,
And connections with others.
So if your mind is objecting to not being able to feel love,
Come back to your body and retune in to the sensations of love that you have felt before.
Because even though you lost your person,
You did not lose love.
You are love,
And the love is inside of you.
Move this feeling of love right now.
Your movements may be repeating over and over again.
They may be small,
They may be big,
They may be soft,
They may be more forceful and energetic.
There are no right or wrong movements.
Just keep the intention of moving with the sensations of love.
I'm going to leave a minute of space for you to explore this further.
And when that minute is up,
I'll guide us to gently come to a close.
As you have been moving love for the last minute,
I'd like to remind you that you can absolutely find love again because it never left you.
And the more that you can embody these sensations of love and move through your life feeling this love,
It will be reflected back to you through new relationships in the future,
If that's what you'd like.
I recommend that you continue your healing and grieving process and feel all the difficult and painful feelings that you have to feel to get through heartbreak.
But when you can,
And as much as you can,
Without dismissing all the other difficult feelings,
Tune into this love that you are,
That already resides in your body.
And the more that you do,
The more you will attract your next relationship that brings you even more love,
That amplifies the love that is already inside of you.
Start to gradually,
Slowly bring your movements to a close,
Making them increasingly slower,
Smaller,
Until you eventually reach an ending pose.
Maybe this pose represents the love that you are,
The love that is inside of you.
Maybe it's something that doesn't quite make sense,
But you just find that your body naturally lands there.
As you come into this ending position,
Let's take a deep breath together.
Breathing in and breathing out,
You may gently open your eyes and look around your space.
Make physical contact with yourself to let your body know that you are here in the now.
