Hi,
I'm Paula Jenkins,
And we're going to be doing a guided meditation to create a little more space in your mind and in your life for joy to find you.
Find a quiet,
Comfortable place to sit,
Whether that be on the floor or in a chair.
Have it be someplace where you are connected to the ground.
Put your hands on your lap and close your eyes.
Now I invite you to take in a deep breath for the count of three.
And exhale for a count of three.
Again inhale and exhale.
Inhale and exhale.
With your eyes still closed,
Continue your breathing and take notice of where your shoulders are and let them relax,
Drop them down.
Notice the places where you are connecting with the floor below you.
Feel the connection to the space that you are sitting in.
Notice for just a moment the sounds.
Continue your breathing.
Inhale and exhale.
And as you sit in this space of quiet,
Think about how you are connected to the floor below you.
Notice how it feels to have your feet on the ground or how you are connected to the chair with a seat below you.
Notice if there's any discomfort in your current posture.
Take a moment to readjust.
Send thoughts of gratitude to your feet for walking,
To your legs for taking you the many places that they have,
To your body for providing you a home here on this planet,
To your lungs for inhaling and exhaling every day,
To your heart for continuing to provide every ounce of you the nutrients that you need to keep going,
To your shoulders for keeping your head up,
Supporting you,
Your arms for holding so many things and your beautiful head for housing the thoughts,
For thinking,
For providing,
For being.
Feel the gratitude wash over you for this body that allows you to be here in this moment and this body that has been through so much.
Send deep gratitude throughout.
Take a moment here to breathe in and breathe out.
Breathe in,
Breathe out and feel your eyes flutter back into the room where you are seated.
Place your hands over your heart and bow your head in gratitude for this time that you have spent loving yourself and acknowledge the courage that it takes to move forward with your day.
