I affirm.
When I heed the beckoning call of stillness and stop to pay attention,
I notice that like the divine's omnipresent nature,
Beauty is also everywhere present.
I take a moment of pause now.
As I do,
I am aware of the beauty even in the mechanism of simply breathing in and breathing out life force energy.
Every soothing breath I inhale and every deep breath I exhale relaxes me in this deliberate reverie.
Every part of me settles into the inactivity of this moment where I become more mindful of my surroundings and notice anew what was previously hidden or overlooked.
Like a beautiful lotus lily growing with its roots in mud,
So too I can find beauty in the midst of my life challenges.
Even if that beauty is in a sunray illuminating the formation of a cloud,
A wild flower growing through the cracks of concrete or the uplifting heart song of the birds.
Witnessing and savoring the beauty inlaid in each brief interval of time has the power to turn those small moments into magnificent meaningful ones.
And for that I am grateful.
And so it is.
Amen.
Namaste.
