Find a comfortable,

Quiet place for you to settle and settle.

Slowly relax your eyes and let them quietly shut.

Let your cheeks fall.

Let your shoulders fall.

Let your back relax into your hips,

Into the ground,

Into the floor.

This is the end of the day and your time for yourself,

For no one else.

This is the time for you because you're important.

You matter.

You are taking time to come first.

Slow your mind and slow the thoughts down.

Take a deep breath in and take a deep breath out.

And at the end of this day,

It's time to let go of everything that we've collected.

Take a deep breath in.

Take a deep breath out.

Let's honor the parts of yourself.

The parts that are able to heal others.

Let's honor the parts of you that lead others.

Let's honor the parts of you that loves others.

For it's time now to turn towards yourself and hold that same love for yourself.

Take a deep breath in.

Let's imagine a big ball of light right in the center of your heart.

It's bright.

It's warm.

It's all yours.

It's love.

You will always have this light.

Take a deep breath in and take a deep breath out.

Remember you can return to this breath and this light anytime you need to.

This is the fuel of your day.

It'll be the fuel as you re-energize at the end of this day.

Take a deep breath in of this light and let go of the stress you've collected over the day.

Take a deep breath in of this light and let go of the anxiety you've collected over the day.

Take a deep breath in of the light and let go of all the faces,

The patients,

The families,

The fear of the day.

Take a deep breath in of the light and let go of the thought that you have to fix everyone.

Take another deep breath in and know that you've done your best today.

Take a deep breath in and know that you have done enough today.

Take a deep breath in and come back to the life that you have created with the people you love around you.

Take a deep breath in again and know that there is no perfect way to be and that you felt your way through your work and that you're one step closer to knowing more about yourself.

Take a deep breath in and know that every day is a new day and that it's learning and that it will unfold.

Thank you so much for this series of meditations. I’m a paramedic & only working on a Covid helpline, so I’m not in any way dealing with what frontline workers are having to do, but these meditations have made a big impact on my working day. The line is relentless & the meditations just help to drop the stress so much.
