Come and join Penny on a meditation journey. You will be taken on an adventure to a beautiful lake. You will hear the birds talking to one another, see the sun shining on the water, and smell the fresh air surrounding you. This is your special place. A place where you feel loved, relaxed, and at ease.

Hi,

It's Penny here and we're gonna go on a beautiful meditation journey but before we do that I want you to get really comfortable.

If you're lying on the floor or maybe tucked in bed or even in a really big comfortable chair I want you to snuggle in and just really feel relaxed and comfortable.

You can move at any time during this meditation and if you do just make sure you do that in a gentle slow manner and if you're near anyone else try not to make any noise at all.

Okay,

I'm gonna take you on a journey so now I want you to close your eyes.

There's nothing you need to do,

You just need to listen to my voice and I'm gonna take you on a beautiful meditation journey in your mind.

I want you to think about a beautiful lake and in your mind design this amazing beautiful calm lake.

It's stretching out before you,

The water is so calm and you can see the sun shining down over the water.

It glistens and it looks so peaceful.

You can see animals floating on the water,

Birds just drifting along and you might even see a few fish.

And what can you hear in your surroundings?

Can you hear the birds talking to one another?

Perhaps the wind in the trees and maybe the crickets chatting.

There's so many things surrounding you.

That beautiful sound of nature just makes you feel so calm and allows your body to just feel like it wants to be still and quiet and relaxed.

You might want to take a breath in.

Can you smell any fragrances in the air?

Maybe the fresh air as it moves in through your nostrils or perhaps you can smell the grass or maybe some flowers.

I want you to run your tongue over your teeth and gums.

How do they feel?

Smooth,

Spongy,

Maybe sharp.

Can you notice any flavors in your mouth?

Maybe in your special space in nature in front of the lake you have some beautiful food in front of you.

Food that you love to eat.

You might want to reach out and touch some of this food and feel it in your fingers.

Is it sticky?

Perhaps it's warm,

Maybe it's cold.

I want you to look around your lake now and just notice all the beautiful colors,

The blue sky.

Is there any clouds?

Are there any trees?

Maybe there's someone special sitting right next to you.

Someone that you love and someone who makes you feel really safe and comfortable.

This is your special spot,

Your place where you can come at any time.

A place where you feel loved,

Relaxed and at ease.

We're going to sit for a short time now and just listen to the beautiful sounds in your special space and enjoy.

Now coming back,

Listening to my voice and knowing that you've given your body and mind this special time to just be still and quiet.

Your body needs this.

It needs time every day just to be still and quiet.

How do you feel?

Does it make your body feel heavy or maybe you feel a bit tingly in your body?

Maybe it brings a smile to your face.

It's time now for you to slowly start to open your eyes and wriggle your fingers and toes.

Of course,

If you want to lie here a little longer in your special place at the lake,

That's fine too.
