Welcome to this tea meditation.
I'm Phoebe and I'll be guiding you through your cup of tea and sipping experience today.
I would like you to get very comfortable in a position that is easy for your body and easy for your mind to focus,
Whether that's lying down,
Sitting propped up or sitting in any form or shape you desire.
Somewhere quiet is best.
We would like you to really get comfortable and to be able to draw into yourself,
To allow a barrier to rise between you and the external world.
This barrier is a lovely barrier of light and love,
Just for these few minutes where we come in and surrender.
Because it's so important to have moments like these.
You will have pre-brewed your tea and so I hope you are holding or you are near your cup of tea.
It could be iced or hot,
But not too hot that you can't drink it.
We're going to smell this delicious cup of tea and I really hope that you've brewed your favourite tea for this.
Breathe it in.
What does it smell like?
Do you see a field of flowers?
Do you see a waterfall with ferns?
Do you see a very attractive person walking along the beach with a coconut in their hand?
Or maybe a pina colada and maybe some flowers for you in their other hand?
Just enjoy the experience of smelling this tea and letting it take you to wherever you want to go.
And now we're going to sip this tea.
Gently bring it up to your mouth,
Close your eyes if it's comfortable and let the liquid enter your mouth and wait for what happens.
What sort of party of taste and coolness or heat is happening in your mouth?
Is it a bit bitter?
Where does the sweetness come in?
What part of the tongue do you taste that on?
Just enjoy this sensation and this adventure.
Sip again if it feels right or even hold the tea in your mouth.
See what changes.
Our saliva is an amazing liquid.
It makes flavours stronger and sometimes I have found that tea transforms the longer I hold it in my mouth.
As we're sipping or as we're holding tea in our mouth,
I want you to think about your whole body.
Imagine if you entered a waterfall of this tea.
What part of your body do you think would love it the most?
Would it be your hair becomes more radiant?
Because black tea does do that.
Would it be that your skin feels more supple and moisturised but also alive?
Maybe,
Or maybe your feet have always been envious of your mouth,
That always get to experience new different types of liquids to hydrate,
To excite and to soothe.
If it's your feet that are talking to you then maybe after this you might want to give them a tea bath.
Then what about inside your body?
Where do you feel relief when you are sipping this tea?
Do your lungs enjoy this?
Or maybe your heart just feels open and full and is enjoying every single moment of joy and peace that comes with this.
Or maybe it's your liver or your pancreas.
Or your small intestines,
Maybe they've been seeking some hydration that you didn't know of.
And what about your womb?
If you are a person with a womb,
Does that appreciate this moment that you are taking for yourself?
Is it grateful?
Does it thank you in some way or another?
Does it feel lighter,
More connected and more at peace?
I invite you to drift off and just feel,
Feel relaxed,
Feel this little tea wave that we are riding right now.
What is this tea actually taking us?
Where and why?
For as long as you wander in this tea land,
You will be protected,
This barrier of light will always protect you and when you are ready,
Simply open your eyes and take a sip.
