If we can surf those urges,

You're actually cutting through the tendency to keep your body and mind active,
And moving into the space beyond where you can sleep.
Allow yourself to open up to this moment.
And so,
Noticing,
Watching,
Being aware,
And let me guide you through the five senses to help ground you in preparation for sleep and beyond.
Letting go of everything.
And in those moments when you feel the felt sense of your breathing,
Know that there's a you that notices this.
Notice now what you can sense with your mouth.
Know that there's a you noticing this.
Notice what you can hear.
Recognize that there's a you here now.
That is aware of these experiences of sounds as they come and go in and out of your awareness.
Notice what you can feel against your skin.
Be aware that you are noticing this.
Notice what you can sense with your nose.
Be aware that you are noticing this.
And with your closed eyes,
Be aware of the you that looks out from behind your closed eyes.
And so we gently moved around the five senses in order to get in touch with the you that watches all your experiences.
Be aware of the you that is listening to these words.

Let go into the vastness of awareness.
Now bring awareness to the following areas as I call them out.

Now the awareness that looks out from behind your eyes.

Forehead.
Head.
Top of the head.

Do this by recognizing that there is nothing else to do right now.

Rib cage.

Buttocks.

Feel the body as a whole.
Each sensation flowing into other ones like a giant tapestry of experiences.
Noticing some of the areas deep within your body.
Within the muscles.
The bones.
The organs of the body.
Noticing your body as a whole.
Everything resting in this moment.
The heart,

What might it be like to let go completely of the idea of meditation.
Leaving it out.
And what's left is this you.

That is experiencing.

What might it be like to do something different.

As you recognize.

It heals me the sound of the rain activates my alpha brainwave state this state that helps me relax I choose to drift away sleep is on its way I choose to drift away moving into the space of imagination into the realm where all good things happen imagine a way for a year and a day today today is different and similar it's similar because it is a sunny spring day we walk outside to start our journey the weather is beautiful I am feeling so refreshed from our adventure yesterday and I'm eager for what today's journey will have in store it will be different because it's a new day a new day for me a new day for you let's go for a drive again I like having you as my guest relax let's use the power of our imagination choose a car and let's gently come to know that it will manifest itself wow there it is again a car nice choice let's get in shall we that's interesting this road we're on doesn't have any other cars let's take the same windy road oh wow,

Watching being aware and let me guide you through the five senses to help ground you in preparation for sleep and beyond letting go of everything and in those moments when you feel the felt sense of your breathing know that there's a you that notices this notice now what you can sense with your mouth know that there's a you noticing this notice what you can hear recognize that there's a you here now that is aware of these experiences of sounds as they come and go in and out of your awareness notice what you can feel against your skin be aware that you are noticing this notice what you can sense with your nose be aware that you are noticing this and with your closed eyes be aware of the you that looks out from behind your closed eyes and so we gently moved around the five senses in order to get in touch with the you that watches all your experiences be aware of the you that is listening to these words let go of everything do this by recognizing that there is nothing else to do right now nowhere else to be nothing else to think right now let go into the vastness of awareness now bring awareness to the following areas as I call them out jaws nose ears earlobes nose eyebrows now the awareness that looks out from behind your eyes ears top of the head back of the head neck both shoulders both arms both wrists thumbs index finger second finger third finger little finger the space around your fingers let go of everything do this by recognizing that there is nothing else to do right now nowhere else to be nothing else to think right now let go into the emptiness of awareness into this deep,
Deep restful experience which prepares you for sleep the upper back ribcage buttocks buttocks lower legs ankles heels soles of the feet top of the feet feel the body as a whole each sensation flowing into other ones like a giant tapestry of experiences noticing some of the areas deep within your body within the muscles the bones the organs of the body noticing your body as a whole everything resting in this moment the heart,
Slow,
Committed to rest,
Recognizing the energy within you wherever you recognize this that hums away in preparation for sleep can you feel this calm,
Consistent energy doing this let go of everything do this by recognizing there's nothing else to do right now nowhere else to be nothing else to think right now let go into the emptiness of awareness into this deep,

Caring human being that is experiencing simply experiencing simply being which is non-doing and gently noticing I am aware of myself noticing I am aware of being aware thoughts can do what they want they can be where they are that space that holds my thoughts can be soft that place where I experience feelings can also be soft and spacious whilst I absorb this very moment because this is everything with everything that comes and goes thoughts as thoughts feelings as feelings and my gentle awareness that notices it notices my breath as my body breathes at its own rate and rhythm it notices my body as I gently hold myself however I am resting it notices my mind and how it pulls me in to all sorts of thoughts and here I am I am a spiritual being having these human experiences moments like these are magnificent they can help us experience a little more deeply something that goes beyond the words this is me here I am this is it not necessarily even needing to close your eyes maybe your eyes are closed what might it be like to do something different and gently hold a soft gaze as you recognize the isness of your very surroundings in my immediate surroundings all is well in my immediate surroundings I am safe I am safe and this is me experiencing this so here we are no need to do anything making no effort to be anywhere letting go of everything letting go of the need to meditate to do it one way or the other letting go and noticing here I am,
