Join me as we focus on our breath and come back to our bodies to feel more grounded and relaxed. This simple practice of deep breathing and focusing on physical sensations allows us to temporarily draw our attention away from our thoughts and emotions, allowing us to feel more present. You may come back to these exercises for a moment of relaxation any time you need to throughout your day. Sometimes we just need a few minutes of calm in our day. Music by Silencio Music

Transcript

Please begin by finding a safe place before closing your eyes and then taking a deep inhale through your nose.

Pause at the top for three seconds and then exhale.

Then take an inhale through your nose.

Pause for a count of one,

Two,

Three,

And then exhale deeply,

Letting everything go.

And now just for a moment,

I'd like you to draw your attention to your feet.

Notice how they are positioned,

How they feel.

Simply observe whether they feel warm or cool,

And notice any fabric or surface that they may be touching.

And simply observe this feeling.

Now allow yourself to smile,

Inviting a positive,

Uplifting energy into your being.

You are welcome to stay here for a little longer if you wish,

Or if you feel ready,

You may open your eyes and continue on with your day,

Feeling even just a little more calm,

Grounded,

And refreshed.

Beautiful. I was hiking through the woods and wanted to stop to meditate but my heart was pounding from hike up a hill. I decided to try your meditation out. Just the thing to get me in the right frame of mind.
