So make sure you're in a safe,
Quiet place,
Not driving or using machinery,
So you can relax.
This isn't medical advice or therapy.
This is about empowering your personal growth.
So,
Make yourself comfortable,
Close your eyes,
And begin with a deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Take another long,
Deep breath.
Then,
Let your breathing settle into its own natural rhythm.
Let your body relax into the surface underneath.
Allow your muscles to soften from the top of the head all the way to the tips of your toes.
Now,
When making a life goal,
It can be tempting to make it through the lens of now,
Through your current challenges,
Exploring your problems,
But don't.
Become a master of your own timeline.
Set your goal through the lens of the future.
So,
Bring to mind an area of your life you want to work on for the purpose of this meditation.
A broad area will do.
And then,
Using the power of your imagination,
Travel to a point in the future when you've achieved your goal.
Five years ahead can be a good point,
Enough time to achieve something tantalizing,
Something exciting.
Travel there in whatever way feels appropriate for you.
Then let the mists of time clear and arrive at the moment that represents that you've made it,
You've achieved your goal.
Now,
What is happening right now?
What do you see that shows that you've done it?
What do you hear?
What words sum up that you've made it in this moment?
What emotions do you feel in this moment?
What are the corresponding feelings in your body?
As you've taken this journey of success,
What have you learned along the way?
What positive message are you now telling yourself about who you are?
This snapshot in time is now your anchor,
A clear moment in time to aim for.
Take a moment to focus your mind on the most powerful thought that has come up for you from this.
Now,
Travel back to the present,
All normal feelings returning to the body with your awareness fully back in the present,
Bringing your most powerful insight with you,
As well as a clear memory of that future point in time.
Then open your eyes,
Knowing that you have a clear future moment to pull you forward to your life goal.
